BEST COLANDER EVER! NO, REALLY!!!
I’ve bought 2 different colanders trying to find the best one and had to return them and finally… EUREKA ! The 3rd time was the charm! This is it!We make broccoli casserole a lot and, as you know when you make casseroles like that., you have to cook the veggies until very soft so they’ll smush easily. It’s been about impossible to get the cooked broccoli of the little holes beforeI’ve bought the silicone collapsible one and the holes are too tiny to drain well and you have to squeeze the sides together and pour out the water. I’ve bought the over the sink one and it took me 10 minutes to spray and brush the broccoli out of the little wire holes! At last I got this one. And it’s perfect! The holes are plentiful, well placed and the perfect size for draining quickly and big enough that broccoli doesn’t get stuck in them. I love the little stand on the bottom that fits perfectly over a bowl if you want to drain something and keep the juices. Or you can sit in the sink to drain something with the food in the colander touching the sink through the bottom of itIt’s very well made and just the right size and weight! Yesterday, I made pork tenderloin in the crockpot and it had some clumpy fats that had cooked off and I didn’t want that, but wanted to keep the juices. I put this over a bowl drained it perfectly and kept just the juice to put over the meat.I love everything about it! You won’t go wrong buying if

A Kitchen Game-Changer — Built Like a Tank, Drains Like a Dream!
If you're tired of flimsy colanders that wobble, tip, or clog up with water, this is the upgrade you didn’t know you needed. The ExcelSteel Heavy Duty Colander is truly in a class of its own. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was solid — the stainless steel feels substantial without being overly heavy, and the craftsmanship is excellent. The heavy-duty handles are securely riveted (no fear of them popping off under a load of pasta or veggies), and the self-draining solid ring base is an absolute game-changer. It keeps the colander stable on the sink or counter without tipping or shifting — even when I'm rinsing heavy potatoes or pouring in a full pot of pasta water.Another huge win: the perforations are perfectly sized and distributed for quick, efficient draining — no standing water at the bottom, no frustration. Plus, the 5-quart capacity is ideal for everything from washing fruits to draining big batches of spaghetti for family dinners.Bottom line: If you want a colander that’s sturdy, smartly designed, and will probably outlive your kitchen, don’t think twice. This is a must-have tool for any serious (or casual) home cook.Highly, highly recommend!

Sturdy. Won’t tip when noodles are dumped
I have three colanders and really didn’t need another one. However the three I had were dumping half my noodles and sink as I tried to drain them so I purchased this model and oh my goodness I will never look back. This model has a firm sturdy base keeps the noodles up off of my sink Drains well and doesn’t tip. I never lose noodles so I think this thing is the greatest. It’s an excellent size whether cooking something small or large the stainless steel is high-quality. I feel like I got a great value for my money. It’s not extremely thick, but it’s not flimsy enough that you could bend it and the whole size is on the large side for colander , but not so large that I’m losing any food.

How to remove label? Yikes!
I read about dangers of plastic cookware and decided to ditch my plastic colander. This item seems to check all of the boxes. The first thing I want to mention: There is a label placed right in the middle interior of this piece that is removable, however it leaves an adhesive residue that is nearly impossible to remove! I tried soap and water., alcohol and scrubbing with a copper pad. As my frustration grew, I decided to try dousing the label with boiling water and scrubbing with the copper pad. This worked.I think an easy approach would be to lower the colander into a large pot of boiling water for a while, then scrub with a steel or copper pad.I'll update the review after I've used the colander a few times.

A Good Purchase!
This metal strainer is super solid and holds up really well, even with frequent use. It’s easy to handle and makes straining stuff like pasta or veggies a breeze. Cleaning it is no hassle at all—just rinse it or toss it in the dishwasher. Overall, it’s a really good buy and definitely worth having around the kitchen.
