Subscription service required !
Bought this for elderly relative who is very unsteady on their feet and has also been ill recently.Looked at many devices on the market and found this one that seemed to require a one off payment.Thought it would suit perfectly as it has a long battery -the person in question is very bad at charging mobile phones so the smart watches with built-in alarm wouldn’t suit.Buttons were a big bigger than I was expecting - which should suit elderly person or someone with low dexterity.I downloaded the app and set it up on my phone. However I discovered during testing that the alert on my phone is silent. As I don’t live with the person I wanted an alert straight away if they had an emergency. The app does not ring or vibrate the phone!! In order to get a phone cal or SMS alert you need to pay a subscription!!!The only mention of this is about 3/4 way through the silent video. It was not mentioned anywhere else.I know many of the other devices on the market are more expensive and have a higher subscription fee but I feel that this feature should have been highlighted not hidden away.The local alarm is very clear and might be more suitable for alerting a carer in the same building. Up to 6 alert buttons can be used with the base.I’m not sure whether I’ll send it back yet. Back to researching devices

Good: But produces unwanted alert every 20minutes !
It works OK. The various apps need a bit of time to try.BUT as well as the alert we want it also produces , every 20 minutes to all "shared devices" (where ever they are)."USB Power Reminder" "WIFI caller is currently powered by USB"But, there is no option to provide power by any other means. The other aperture is for an undocumented sounder and not for power.!Help ! Would be 4 or 5 star if we could solve this problem !
