OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES SCREENLESS Case Case for iPhone Xs & iPhone X - Retail Packaging - BIG SUR (PALE BEIGE/CORSAIR)

This case is very bulky but not to an uncomfortable extent. If you’re looking to greatly protect your phone from falls and have some grip on your phone so it doesn’t fall off places or out your pocket, this will be it. It feels very durable, it won’t be falling apart or breaking any time soon, very sturdy. I’ve had it for about a little over couple months now and it’s feel just as good as the day I got it. Now for the CONS, this case is pretty thick and it’s pretty noticeable through your pocket honestly not a problem for me but it is kind of hard to take it out when I’m wearing jeans and sitting down. Now I wouldn’t say it’s too easy to hold with one hand, it’s pretty bulky and even for my big hands it can get kind of uncomfortable at times but holding it with two is much better, but keep in mind that I don’t have a pop socket or anything like that so if you have one it may fix all these holding problems. This case has definitely helped with my sweaty hands when I’m playing games or doing anything on screen. One of the other good things about this screen is that because of the of its shape and build you won’t be touching things on accident on your screen and it helps me getting a better hold of my phone for typing and other activities. Overall I wouldn’t recommend if you’re stylish and want something sleek with open side buttons and extremely comfortable on the hands. On the other hand if you want something with great durability, 10/10 protection, better grip/hold of your phone for games and other activities at a pretty low price, then this is definitely for you. It’s worth the price and I forgot to mention that this also protects your charging port, notification switch and every other button on the phone and it also leaves the apple logo on the back open with a thin layer of hard plastic so you can still use the double or triple tap accessibility’s with the case on. Every side button is very easy to access. 9/10 loved it but could be a tiny bit smaller. Still deserves a 5 star, for the price it’s unbeatable on its protection.

I have used this for several years. The case is good and sturdy and always protected my phone against accidental dropping. I always thought this had a screen protector but when I purchased my new phone they sales guy told me that this actually does not have a screen protector and that if dropped your screen may still crack. I told him I had dropped the phone a couple times and the screen did not crack and the phone survived. He said it just did not hit right. :DMy aunt had a case like this and dropped her phone and the screen shattered. I would still recommend this case if you have an older phone as it protected my phone for years and as bad as I hate to admit it I did drop it a few times. You also get a hard plastic casing to clip to your side. I did not use this often. It is big and bulky in my opinion. But it is handy if you do not have pockets to keep your phone in and do not want to carry a purse. The phone cases have totally changed and I have updated my phone but we still purchased Otterbox. This is a good brand and I have heard others say it is the best brand at protecting your phone. And as much as phones cost you want it to be protected.

Up until now, I have shied away from Otter Boxes due what I considered to be exorbitant prices. However, this particular "Defender Series Screenless Edition" was approximately $10 less than other Otter models (with screen protection) so I decided to "bite the bullet" and give it a try. Thus far, I couldn't be happier with the quality of the case. My iPhone X now looks classier and feels much more durable, protected and secure in my hand than it did with my previous phone case. My only complaint, echos that a Mr. Matthew Davidson, i.e. "The wordless installation instructions". My case came packaged, completely assembled. After I peeled off the rubber outer covering, I attempted to push the phone into the inner plastic shell without success. During my second attempt to slip the phone into the plastic shell, I exerted a fair amount of pressure, to the point that I feared the shell would crack. The small booklet that came with the product displayed wordless, ambiguous, numbered pictures that resembled illegible hieroglyphics rather than written, installation instructions for the layman. After studying the plastic case for a few minutes, I discovered that it came assembled in two pieces. I then quickly disassembled the case, installed the iPhone inside the bottom half of the case, then reassembled the top half of the case, before slipping on the protective rubber covering.ATTENTION, OTTER BOX: It is obvious that your engineers devoted much time to develop a top quality product to protect such an expensive cell phone. Please put a little more effort into an INSTALLATION MANUAL as Mr. Matthew Davidson did in his exceptional critique. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

I had this case for 2 years before I changed it out. With this case and some added tempered glass my phone was impenetrable. There was a time where I lost my phone in a parking lot while it was raining. Left it in that parking lot in the rain for 8 Hours and then ran over it the next morning (all by accident). The phone worked perfectly and there wasn't any cracks or scratches on it. I highly recommend using this brand of phone cases if you are prone to clumsiness and drop your phone often.
