So I had a single really strong magnet at work that I needed to use to convert my heavy metal name badges from pins to magnetic. So I looked here on amazon to find more to convert my other badges and came across this product. At initial glance online, the magnets I ordered were identical to my really strong old one. They were the same size, shape, same "caution" plate, etc. Once the new magnets were in my hands, I then noticed my "old" magnet had slightly bigger magnetic buttons which results in a stronger magnetic field / adhesion compared to the new ones I bought from here. After converting my metal badges, there's a clear difference in magnetic adhesion. The top badge has the old magnet which holds to the side of my PC without gravity pulling it down. The bottom badge's magnet, which came from this product, is too weak to keep the badge appended to the metal side of my PC. Both badges are there same, one's just painted gold. I'm fairly disappointed in this as I work outside and needed something strong enough to prevent my name badge from falling off my uniform incase it was to get moderately brushed/snagged on. These will work alright for thin cloths and casual office wear use, but not for my thicker police style uniform and moderate outdoor use.

Magnets are strong as expected for their size, excellent hold. Adhesive is good so far, I was able to remove it from my badge with a knife fairly easily. 3M 03614 would be an upgrade.  3M 03614 Scotch-Mount 1/2" x 15' Molding Tape Held my badge on my thin shirt extremely well, difficult to move around (as it should).Magnets might not be a good choice on sweaters and delicate materials.Polarity on the magnets are the same, so you cannot mate two of them together. I love this product for holding a name tag. No more trying to pin a name tag to your clothes and no holes left in your shirt. Simply uncover adhesive strip and apply to your name tag. Adhesive holds well and magnet works holds even through a light sweater. These were reasonably priced compared o others.

Really changed the game with adding these magnets to the back of my flower corsage. Love the convenience and strength of the magnet
