Q: Why do the apples' center immediately turn brown when cored with this instrument?

I do believe it's not the instrument but when an apple is cut and oxygen enters some type of enzyme in the air causes the apple to turn brown.

I don’t really care. I needed it, I like it, it works great for me I eat an apple almost every other day so I’m happy that’s what’s important plus everything comes from Someplace. Choices are few.
