FormulerGTV UHD 4K Android TV Box with Google Assistant & Chromecast Built-In

I've had no issues with this at all. Just had to download a couple of updates when I powered it up, but it's working fine.I love the "sturdiness" of the remote.

Best multimedia box I have brought in a long while. As an android box is works even better than the Nvidia shield Pro I have. The Shield keeps crashing where this does not. As the IPTV builtin in app. It's the best one out there!

Already own an Nvidia Shield, a few Xbox's and Apple TV's, This box is unique in it offers a dedicated app for IPTV, MYTV2.You cant install Apple TV or Netflix 4K unlike the NVIDIA Shield, and unlike the Xbox you wont get Sky Go, ATV and Netflix 4K. And on ATV you get everything except Sky GO.ATV and Xbox you cant install the VPNS I use they work on DNS so I've never tried IPTV you can use another app on Shield for IPTV but there not as good as the MYTV app on the GTV.Every box offers a different set of APPS but there is always something missing.I think the NVidia Shield is a better all round Android box but the GTV is a close second but you need to consider what you want to use it for.I still in evening regularly switch between boxes for different Apps and services so there is no perfect box.

Fast and reliable 1000x better than any thing out there and I have try most of them

Good picture quality unfortunately tvonline2 crashing and lots bugs favourite channels not numbering properly when press 1 channel 121 come up when press 2 channel 20 all of the number has issues needs quick update . I have z8 pro and working great . I have returned the item to Amazon

Brilliant and easy to use

1) I posted some of the below issues to their subreddit which is ran by staff, but then when I said I'll be returning my device, they removed my post. This is a major red flag, and it makes you wonder how many other issues people have that they are hiding2) The volume buttons on the remote control the volume of the box. If you want to change the volume of the TV, you have to hold the TV button on the top, change the volume then hold the top button again. When you use that top button to enter TV control mode, no button on the remote works to control the box at all until you exit the mode. There are many complaints going back a while on this stupid design flaw, including in their forums, yet unanswered from staff3) The documentation is poor and you may as well consider there to be none. If you need help, you are much more likely to find someone else who has had the issues instead of official documentation. That isn't a good thing. For example the page on USB TV Tuner compatibility doesn't actually list any devices even though it says it does. There's also no info on how to change the remote buttons that actually tells you it is in their own app and not in the settings of the device. And judging by point 1, if I have an issue and am critical of the box, is my issue going to get removed anyway? I cannot trust them.4) Although the fault of Google, a recent update to some system apps means sponsored and promotional content is now forced on the top of the home screen and no "channel customisation" settings (settings that let you change what is on the home screen) will remove them. Many people have complained of this for many months, with the solution being to uninstall updates of a system app. This should not be necessary and I am disgusted with Google for this. Of course, no Formuler staff comments or docs on doing this, others have had to figure this out. Many other annoyances within Android including a poor amount of Google Play apps (and the store doesn't show app reviews!!), voice commands not working if you don't sign in (even though the bar comes up, it makes the sound that it is listening, and waits, it doesn't pick any sound up nor tell you why, only signing in fixed it), the way some settings work is really stupid, Google discontinued the Android phone app that allowed you to use your phone as a cursor like the Amazon Fire TV app for their devices, etc. Android TV isn't all it is hyped up to be.For these reasons, avoid both the Formuler brand overall, and Amdroid TV for generally, which as typical to Google, they messed it up. Knowing them, I give it a year then they will kill it off with everything else they throw in the trash.

The GTV uses Android TV as the interface, which is much better than the normal Formuler interface. However, if you plan to record DO NOT BUY a GTV, go for the Z8 instead. This box will not record on schedule. The manufacturer is aware but said it not a priority fix, so don't expect it to work properly any time soon
