If you have a leg injury (like thorn Achilles tendon) and have to use a boot like the VacoPed, then this shoe extension is a must if you want to walk comfortly. The VacoPed increases the height due to it's thick sole - so walking with one foot in a shoe and one in the VacoPed is making you limping around - which is bad for the spine and the muscles. In order to balance one foot high and one low - use this foot extender - it is stable, safe and solid - and it reduces the difference in height by almost 90%, which means walking is like walking kind of normal. At least, once you get rid of the VacoPed - the body will faster adjust to the normal walking posture.

The EvenUp spacers for shoes are great. I am learing to walk using a walking boot and needed something to even my other leg up with the one in the boot. I like that they are adjustable. With the sneaker I was using I removed the thinner pad in the EvenUp and my legs are now equal in height. And I like that I do not have to put it on the sneaker every time I need to use. it. Great product and if you are needing to usea walking boot I strongly suggest you get an evenup shoe balancer. They are well worth the money.

A life (back) saver. Broke my fibula, had a boot for 5 weeks, back was killing me, asked my ortho doc about heel lifts and he recommended this. Absolutely amazing and should seriously come WITH every boot…. The boot is finally off and my back is fine. So thankful for this thing, it has different pads and was adjustable to fit any shoe I needed. I feel bad for all the people I ran into who told me stories of how they were in a boot and how much hip / back pain they had because they didn’t have this thing. Well done. Six stars out of five!!

I Have had 2 different medical boots within last week [for a fractured bone in left foot]. after giving up on UVM medical orthopedic boot and receiving United Ortho boot yesterday from Amazon [GREAT*****] and using the Even Ups on both boots during past 7 days here is my a bit premature review.[I have NOT walked outside with United Ortho boot and Even Ups].I do not like to give any reviews on anything until some time has paced in usage [and I don't write many reviews for sake of time and energy]. I was urged by Amazon to write this review on Even Ups. So....Never had to use a product like this before. Even Ups is stable on non injured sneaker and well made. For me almost there to even exactly up leg lengths. Need just one more slim layer option [making it even more than 3 current options with 2 inserts] to make even more precise.I have been a long distance runner [Boston & NYC Marathons, half marathons and shorter races in the past].I have been seeing chiropractors for over 50 years [chronic back issues and do specific spinal target exercises, cross train, yoga, isometrics, etc.] , use an inversion table and been aware of my posture and leg length for decades [72 years young].This all makes me acutely aware of leg length and therefore my valid lifetime experience opinion.

I fell and broke my left foot. The doctor placed me in a smaller boot so my foot would repair. After walking one day in the boot and a tennis shoe on the other foot, my hip started hurting because my two feet were not level. The urgent care facility told me about this shoe lift called Evenup. I immediately ordered it from Amazon. I chose the right height adjustment lift (they give you 3) and attached it to my tennis shoe right away. I couldn't believe what a difference it made. It was a life-saver. At first, I worried about it being loose and falling off, but it worked perfectly. I wore it for nine weeks and never had any trouble from it! The Evenup saved my hip and back.

These work well for leg length discrepancy, I am off 1/2". I just bought for the 2nd time. I wear this for my daily walk and I found the heel wore down quickly because my foot hits in that spot. It would be great if they were a little more durable. They are comfortable and not too stiff allowing my foot to bend as it should.

On the sizing chart it says the X-large is 12.2 inches long. It is not. I measured mine at 14.5 inches long. Go by the shoe sizing instead which seems more accurate. Otherwise it seems to work great for the last 1 hour I have been using it. I didn't check the sizing options for thickness as I needed the full height. (By the way the height increase on mine is just 1 and 1/8th inch in max height rather than the stated 1 1/4 inches, but it was all I needed so I am happy with it. It really helps my back and hip.Just beware that their measurements are not right.:)

What a great find! A patient at my Dr.’s office suggested checking out Amazon when I mentioned how brutal walking in a boot is following ankle surgery. What an immediate relief with the help of this leveling device! Great product and a real back and hip saver!!! They should give out one of these EvenUp lifts with every surgery!!!
