Works as expected.
This is not plug n play. You need to search Secure Eye website and download the driver. After installing the driver, it works fine. Been using it for months. It detects finger fast on Windows 11 and have no issues until now.

No driver support
There is no way to download the driver if windows is not able to detect it as plug and play. Secureye has discontinued this product and the seller is selling an outdated product with no support for it what so ever

Works very well with Windows operating system
This product works very well with Windows 11 operating system. Installating the driver and setting it up was easy, once I downloaded necessary software from the manufacturer's website. The link given on the packing was not correct.Once the fingerprint is set up, it identifies it very quickly and unlocks Windows. The software, which was downloaded with the driver is however, useless as it's not working. So file encryption and all may not work. So I have given 4 stars.

came in a plastic box instead of shown packaging, looks used but well
came in a plastic box and seems used, i cant wait another week for a new one so using this.it will work out of the box for some, but if it doesnt just go to their website and download the driver and install it.

It heats up a lot
The product quality is really cheap and requires third party drivers to even detect. When plugged in it heats up to around 60 degrees. It's really bad as it will destroy the port eventually.

Okay product but won't run with generic drivers so it might be unsafe for Indian aadhar users
I had another usb fingerprint long ago but Windows would install generic driver for it automatically. This one however does not have, meaning the USB has an additional circuitry layer which prevents this from getting detected as a standard HID device. So either that hidden layer may have keylogger like section, or snooping code is in the mandatory software that needs to be installed for the driver and operation. All in all I would not trust this yet since it comes from China. Someone who can inspect deeper can instead clarify. There is a booming business of Chinese companies operating through HK or Singapore and collecting Aadhar datas.Revealing fingerprint biometrics would be an extremely reckless thing to do without confirmation.
