A Light Touch is All It Takes
I have a set of Prismacolor colored pencils that I have used to color mandalas for the past couple of years, and they are creamy and richly colored and wonderful. But with minor arthritis in my hands, the pressure of coloring with pencils was becoming painful and somewhat discouraging. These brush tip markers are the answer! They have true, rich colors, and they make it so easy to apply color. I opted for the brush tip over the bullet tip for more variability in width, and these brush tips perform very well, from fine to thick. What I especially love is the light touch - no pressure, barely dabbing it on. I think these are meant for kids (Scholar Art) but I recommend them to anyone who likes to color and appreciates an easy application. I have not tried to dip the brush tips in water to create a watercolor effect, but the packaging describes such a technique. So, more fun to come!

Well worth the money for non-professional quality projects
I really love the Prismacolor dual tip brush pens that retail for $5.99 each... so when I saw these water-based brush tip markers for such a cheap price on amazon I decided to try them out. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. The brush tips on these markers are about 50% smaller/thinner than the dual tip pens and not as soft so much less like painting and more like a somewhat flexible felt tip pen. The tips are sharp and thin enough to make a really thin line with a steady hand. The target market for these markers are school age children. As far as age is concerned I believe it would very much depend on the child. I have 7 year olds and a 4 year old that I would not let use these markers because they would destroy the brush tips in 5 minutes or less. If you know your child is rough on markers, then I suggest you save a few $ and opt for a big cheap $3 set from a big box store that they can use till they are broken. On the other hand, if your child is already doing art with fine details and gentle with pens then s/he will love these. If I had received a set of markers like these in highschool I would have been stoked.. and I was big into art. These are great for coloring manga or comics for adults or older kids and a lot cheaper... just be careful if you're coloring the same work with alcohol based pens as the ink from these can smudge slightly if you overlap onto it.I am extremely pleased with these markers... I only wish there were more colors.

Fabulous prismacolor markers. Need brush not bullet.
I ordered prismacolor scholar brush markers but received the bullet tip. The markers are wonderful and can’t wait to get brush markers.

Not my favorite Markers
I picked up these markers when I found them on clearance. I was excited, I love my Prismacolor Colored Pencils and respected the brand. I knew that their Scholar line was not as great, however I never expected this low quality.I have the bullet 10 pack. The pack did not have an orange, which was ackward when coloring. It also contained a pink and a red that were so close in pigment that you could not tell them apart even right next to each other (see picture of the tea pot). When coloring with them the tore the paper, even when coloring very lightly. The color also did not blend well with each other. In the future I will color with them more like gel pens - in circle motions - then I do with my other Markers. Also, the colors bleed through the page. Although all other Markers I own do also. The best quality of the Markers is that the colors are bright and vibrant.Overal, I do not see myself investing in more of these specific Markers. However, maybe the brush ones will be more satisfactory.

Lots of ink!
These markers were recommended by my son's college professor. They have a lot of ink with crisp clear primary colors. He has completed many projects with them. Of course, I had to try them out too.

Great markers for a novice
I bought these for myself for my adult coloring books. I really like the fine point, and they do not dry out easily while using (in fact I haven't had one begin to dry out yet). The adult coloring books are a little thicker paper, and these do not bleed through. My daughter is an avid drawer and likes the Prismacolor markers/pencils, so I decided to try them for myself. The colors that are included could have a better selection, but they work for something simple like what I do. If I were an avid artist, you would want something more.

Great quality for the price, good gateway to Prisma Products!
I personally love the Prismacolor brand, I have a large set of their other products. The scholar collection is a good starting area for people to familiarize themselves with the product and still obtain good quality. It's not the best they produce but for the price you have a set of markers that depending on how much you use it, could last you a very long time.I've had this product for years and the ink still hasn't run dry.The colors are amazing as well, so I Recomend this and all Prismacolor's products

Just ok
At first I thought these pens were great. I liked the point shape and size. But In less than a week of not constant use some of the pens dried out. Also, the tips flattered out enough that the color no longer applied well.

Not for art or design or anything really
These are not art or design markers and not even suitable for children. They tear the paper and are of horrible quality. Expected more from Prismacolor. Of course they’re not Tria or Copic markers but they have the same price point as WN ProMarkers and are worse than Stabilo or Studio markers from the dollar store. You go over the same line twice with these, nor colour larger areas. Go by something else.

Great Buy!
These markers are exactly what I was hoping for, and work even better than I had imagined. I find they are a little grainy when first colouring with, but once the ink saturates the page, that seems to dissipate. I love these markers, the colours are very pretty, and they helped my collection grow considerably. If you're looking for nice fine tip WATER based markers, these more than just do the trick! More than worth what I paid for them.

My partner loved these markers
My partner loved these markers, She can't find the 20 count pack anywhere. Only the 10, and this pack doesn't have the colours that she loved the most. She's so disappointed. If anyone knows where to find them please post it.
