Roxio Toast Titanium 12 Mac (Old Version)

Gets the job done. I had some duds, not sure whether this was a problem with the program or my hardware. Having to hunt around for certain options like not re-compressing video was not great. I know this program is good for simply copying DVDs. My needs were a tiny bit more detailed than that. Not thrilled but standard.

I like the software and it does work well. What I do not like is that only 3 weeks after I purchased this, Toast 14 was released. And only paid upgrades were available. I had also purchased the HD plugin, which cost another $20 and the upgrade for the plugin is another $20!

I had to buy Extra $$$ "plug ins" for what I needed, If I new that before, I would have not bought it.

Product advertises Blu-Ray support but then after you buy it there is no Blu-Ray support. You can however buy a $20 plugin for Blu-Ray support but that is an additional cost and the way the product description reads there is no mention the need to buy this extra plugin.Also there appears to be no telephone support. If you have any issues with getting it to work or issues with anything including billing, etc. you have to go through there web page support which doesn't appear to have anyone on the other end and no one returns my inquiries.Product does work on the Mac however. Not as good as Nero but only solution for the Mac. I did buy the plugin and Blu-rays burn fine though I was billed twice for the plugin.I wish there was an alternative seeing as how it's so difficult to contact someone if you need support.

works fine for bluray and HD disks butis a little hard to operate unless you are experienced.

There is poor customer service from Roxio. No one could tell me how to stop my DVD with Toast 12 from looping and repeating again and again when I played it. So many responses told me to look somewhere without instructions of how to get there. All these responses used up the 30-day return policy of Roxio. Finally. someone led me to a manual but there was nothing about looping and how to solve it. I found a solution in miDVD which is free of charge and lets me play my DVD on any player, not just on computers as Toast does. Toast 12 was a waste of time and money, especially in the delay of getting any solution from Roxio

If you are hoping this software will play blu ray disks in your Mac, keep looking. Roxio Toast 12 Titanium includes Roxio Video Player as an "Extra". The version of this software is 1.0.3 and it hasn't been updated since 2011. I connected an LG external blu ray disc reader/writer (BE14NU40) to my iMac and tried to use the Roxio Video Player. Got an error which said, 'The File "Lord of the rings fellowship" couldn't be opened because it isn't in the correct format.' This is a brand new blu ray disk I picked up at Walmart. I had high hopes for this software. Hope we both find something better.

This is a POS my Mac locks up 3 out of 4 times when I try and burn a DVD disc. I end up throwing out 3 out of 4 discs because they don't complete. Dont't waste your $100
