Rocket BJM01 Bluegrass 5 String Banjo with Gig Bag, Brown

I know nothing about banjos, so was disappointed that no instructions were included for placing the bridge as it comes unattached, plenty of stuff on the internet though, and easy enough to do, very pleased with the banjo I bought the metal pot version, it has a very clear ( it’s very clear I can’t play) crisp sound, and so far I love it, it is loud though! Which for practice is a little bit of a problem, so bare this in mind...... unfortunately as I gained a little experience I realised this was almost impossible to tune correctly it just wouldn’t stay in tune I bought two tuners I think it was down to the set up but in the end had to return this banjo it’s a shame but Amazon were brilliant if you know what your doing great if your a novice like me but one that’s set up already

Didn’t come with forearm rest as pictured. The strings snap easily. However it’s a great starter banjo for a complete beginner like me and I have had so much fun learning this instrument. The rest of the quality of it is good and no complaints. The bag it comes with is also good but some stitching has come away so there is a hole in bottom of pocket. You get what you pay for and overall I am very happy with this item. Just a few annoying things really let it down from a full 5 stars.

On receiving this I was disappointed at seeing half the tensioners missing and two sound box (resonator) nuts were missing. when I picked it up, it rattled. so I removed the sound box and there were all the missing parts. I then realised that someone was in the middle of setting it up, and must have been disturbed, and someone else had picked it up and packed it. I then set too and put all the tensioners etc. in place and set it up with the help of a video on you tube. I now have a well tuned nice instrument. plays well and stays in tune. ( note;- Setting the bridge in the right place makes a difference to the final tuning.) Hint , if you want it to sound good and in tune look on you tube 5 string banjo set up.

I have used this banjo for a while now. The sound is somewhat different to what you hear over YouTube. I thought I ordered the wooden pot one but the metal one arrived.I also noticed a month after I bought it that the bar was cracked at the base. I tried contacting the company but had no luck to get a replacement.Tha bar was also wobly so I had to tighten it.In any case I would recommend it if you are a beginner and you are unsure if you want to keep playing. If you are in it for the long term I would recommend you invest some money and buy a proper one.

Bought my husband this for Christmas. He tried the guitar years ago and didn't get on with it so he thought he would try the banjo and chose this model. He is really pleased with it and plays it every day and is making steady progress. Considering it is at the cheaper end of the market, he says that the build quality and sound are excellent and would certainly recommend it for anyone looking to take this instrument up.

resonator is badly cracked and fixings loose so as to be unusable, no gig bag included, just happen to like the banjo good sound and nice and quiet for practice without the resonator

Good instrument, well made, although a couple of the clips needed tightening. Slightly confusing as it is supplied with two adjusting tools, one of which does not appear to fit anything.

Bought as a birthday gift, it's a lovely looking instrument, good quality. Very happy with it. Would definitely recommend
