very great for a beginner the downfall is that once you put the guards on the quad copter it does eat up the battery. the company itself did not give me a tracking number of any sort. the range is very good when flying up to the air. so far I have taking it out quite a few times the battery does last about 10 minutes. the controller is pretty good but that the actual joysticks is a little touchy. there is a slight delay in the controller to the quad copter. the packaging itself was really good it did come with the charging cord and a basic tool set with a couple extra propellers. flying the actual quadcopter is fairly easy once you get the hang of it I do advise getting a couple more batteries. the video quality is not too bad but the card itself does up pretty quickly. after flying the quad copter in the sky going straight up it has arranged or a top out range of 350 feet, then it starts to lose control then falls from the sky. that is all I can think of right off the top of my head thanks for reading this! Happy flying!

Great but not perfect
It's very fun and pretty easy to learn to fly/control. I had it down within an hour but just like with anything, practice makes perfect. I would have rated it 5 stars but the only flaw I seem to notice is the short battery life, roughly 10 min of fly time per full charge, if your going to buy this I suggest getting the spare battery with it and keep them both charged so u can switch them out once one dies. Other then that id say it's a pretty good deal for the price. Camera is pretty good quality as well

One star for the one day it worked. Hovered, took photos, video successfully, very exciting. Charged the battery for a couple of days, got it back out to fly again -- nothing but solid lights. No more flashing, no more syncing, tried everything I could find in instructions and online to reset, nothing's worked, it's currently sitting unused on a shelf. :-(OK, bumped this up from 1 to 3 stars, it's working now, support had me reverse the turn-on order - manual says transmitter first, then quad, had the problem described above, so reversing and turning on quad first, then transmitter it works fine. But now the camera has stopped working, green light and no response when pressing the photo button on the transmitter.

Good flyer.
Easy to fly. I had two of them. I have a bad habit of flying too high. The wind took the first one and I think it ended up somewhere in Canada. My second one landed high in a tree. I watched it for weeks thinking it would eventually fall down. One day it was not in the tree and I couldn't find it anywhere. Probably a raccoon carted it off. Who knows. Anyway, This is a nice little quad for pretty cheap that flies great .... just don't go too high. Ha!

Great fun for a cheap price - easy to fix, too!
A nice starter quad, easy to fly, and seems pretty stable. One of the motors petered out after only a few hours of flying, but it was easy and cheap to get a replacement motor, and took maybe 15 minutes to install it (most of that time was removing the 26 or so screws holding the fuselage together!). Now it works fine, and I'm back to terrorizing cats with it.

Wasn't good quality control
The right rear motor did not run. After contact, they wanted to replace the motor and sent 2 replacements. While following the directions for replacing the motor, I found the red wire was loose on the circuit board. I took the copter apart an re-soldered the wire. Then the copter flew correctly. Wasn't good quality control.

Fun and easy to fly
Fun and easy to fly. My three almost four year old can fly this thing it's thats easy. Only gave it four star cause the battery doesn't really last long at all.

It was awsome while it was running, but after the second charge of the battery one of the motors stopped working and I"m not sure how to get it going again.

Best beginner quadcopter. Super fun to fly.
This was the second quadcopter that I purchased and since then I have purchased two more. I have really gotten hooked on flying these things and I am now planning on building a 250 mm class racer. But the Syma X5C is still my favourite. If you are a beginner, you cannot go wrong with this quad, but be careful, you might get hooked.I have crashed this quad more times than I can count and I even got it caught at the top of a tall tree. I knocked it down with a baseball and the only damage was one of the propeller guards broke. Buy extra motors (type 720, 7mm diameter by 20mm length) as they do wear out if you fly a lot. They cost a couple of dollars a piece but you will have to solder the wires onto the controller board. There are lots of youtube videos showing how to do this and this has led me to want to build my own .

Solid drone for a very affordable price.
This Syma has been gifted to my son. This particular quadcopter has been recommended as very suitable for a beginner and son had no problem getting it all working and flying it in no time.

Highly recommended.
This is an excellent starter quad copter on which to learn how to fly these copters. Cheap enough that if you lose it, as I have, you can replace it without breaking the bank.Highly recommended for novice flyers before moving up to bigger and more pricier drones.
