Strong yet not too thick.
I've been nervous to buy fabric without being able to touch it, but I decided to give it a shot. I love this stuff!I use 100% polyester gabardine as a base for machine embroidered patches. Since it's a synthetic fabric, I can cut it with my hot knife or laser and get a nice clean edge that won't fray. Until now, I've sworn by Joann's gabardine.This stuff is significantly thinner than Joann's. It still has that same characteristic diagonal weave with little, if any, difference between the two sides. It feels plenty strong, and the lighter weight is great for my patches. That leaves more room for threads and results in less distortion and wrinkles.It's still much heavier than normal fabric, but if you're looking for a _super_ heavy fabric, this isn't it. For my purposes, it's perfect, and I'm not going back to Joann's.

BEAUTIFUL but...
The media could not be loaded. The fabric itself is beautiful.It had a wonderful weight, it's really sturdy and will work very very well for the project jm working on.However, as I was unrolling it I discovered that not only is it single layered so you have to fold it yourself, but it looked really dirty? Nothing that cant be brushed off but it looked really dirty.I was sure to clean (sweep and mop) my work area before putting it down and I was a bit shocked to see all the dirt.Though again it was very easy to wipe/dust off and the fabric itself is wonderful.

Perfect weight for a light weight coat
Very nice. I bought this to make a Prince charming coat for a musical. It was the perfect weight and easy to handle. Hangs beautifully on the hanger

Quality change
The texture and quality of this gabardine fabric has changed from a nice medium weight to light weight, It is thin see through fabric . I use a lining fabric under the garment. I have ordered from this company before with out a problem.

Durability
Great product and durable

Disappointing
Great quality fabric. However, I purchased 4 yards for two large projects. Instead of one four yard piece, I received four one yard pieces. I’ve purchased fabric online many times and my orders always come as one whole piece. Very disappointed.

Defiantly more of a utility fabric
This fabric is pretty coarse and stiff. If this is what you need it'll be fine, but I wanted something with more drape
