Love these latches
I have several of these latches on gates and they're superb, they hold gates open just as well as closed depending on how you mount them.

It's Okay, I Guess
It's fine for what it is. What's annoying is that after a month of use, the black coating's already chipped off the keeper bar. Looks a little trashy, now. Spend more for something that won't scrape off.

Seems to be a nice gate latch
Works well with the rustic wood gates I'm building. The latching action is positive and does not release accidentally. Installs easily: if you can run a screwdriver, consider them installed. Slop allowances are 1/8" vertical, 3/4" horizontal. Includes the standard release lifter with string hole. The lifter also has a security hole to inhibit accidental or unwanted release, and you'd need to supply your own pin if you wanted to enable this feature. The entire latch is finished nicely and has no sharp edges. It's priced right. I think it's a winner.

Kinda sketchy the lock, definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!
