Powerful magnet and good quality. (I had flat tire paranoia after the roofer left.)
Wow, this thing is powerful and appears to be of excellent quality. I bought it the day after the roofers left to see how effective their shingle nail sweeper was. I found plenty of staples and nails. This magnet is so powerful I need to locate it away from ANY PC, etc. since it will degauss devices with memory. I mounted it on a pole and made sweeping motions over an area. I could hear it click everytime I connected with a nail.

Powerful Little Beast — Lives Up to the Hype!
This magnet is no joke. I bought it primarily for nail cleanup and general utility around my homestead, and it's exceeded expectations. Despite the compact 2-inch size, the pull strength is incredibly strong — easily yanks up buried nails, screws, or old fencing staples from the dirt. It’s also proven useful for retrieving dropped tools in tight or muddy spots. You do have to be careful with handling — it will snap to metal hard and fast, so keep fingers clear and keep it stored safely. Great for fishing metal out of hard-to-reach places or even hanging heavy-duty tools. Definitely a solid investment if you need reliable pulling power in a small package.

Powerful magnet.
One of the best magnets. Great for magnet fishing, lost items, and so much more that a powerful magnet is needed for. Great buy..

This magnet is incredibly strong for its size
This magnet is incredibly strong for its size — it easily pulls up heavy objects and works great for magnet fishing or retrieving dropped tools. The compact 2-inch design makes it easy to handle, and the coating feels durable. I was able to pull up nails, bolts, and even an old wrench from the river, and in the garage it held heavy metal securely. The only downsides are that it can be very tough to detach once it locks onto something solid, and you have to be careful not to pinch your fingers. Overall, a powerful and reliable magnet that’s great for hobby or workshop use.

Should be strong enough. not sure yet.
Seems pretty strong. I will get to use it soon as I go hunting in some ponds with it. Oh I put in 1 drop of loctite as I do not want the bolt to turn loose. you really need loctite or superglue

Very strong magnet — great for pickup and metal retrieval
I’ve been using this DIYMAG 2 in (50 mm) magnet for several weeks, and overall it’s a solid heavy-duty retrieval tool. What I liked: +Power: This magnet is genuinely strong for its size — it easily picks up nails, bolts, screws, and other ferrous metal pieces from the ground or workbench. +Build Quality: Feels well-constructed and solid, with a robust metal coating that hasn’t chipped after repeated use. +Eyebolt and Handle: The integrated eyebolt makes it easy to attach a rope or tether, which is handy for magnet fishing or accessing hard-to-reach places. +Versatility: Works well indoors (garage/yard cleanup) and outdoors (pond bank magnet fishing). What could be improved: -Weight & Handling: Because it’s quite powerful, it’s also a bit heavy — beginners may need a moment to adjust when pulling in larger or awkward scraps. +Real-World Pull Force: While advertised as 350 lbs, actual pull strength depends heavily on surface material and contact area. In many real scenarios, the effective holding weight is significantly lower — but still very strong for its class. Overall: This magnet is a solid choice if you want a heavy-duty retrieval tool for workshop cleanup, magnet fishing, or picking up nails and hardware. It’s strong, well-built, and worth its price if you need high-power magnetic pickup.

decent magnets but far weaker than advertised
I picked up these magnets expecting something close to the listed 350 lb pull force, but they aren’t anywhere near that strength. In my testing, they couldn’t reliably hold even 5 lb on a clean, flat steel surface. For light tasks they’re fine, but the advertised rating is extremely unrealistic. The build quality itself seems okay, and for small projects or organizing lightweight metal items they work as intended. They’re compact, easy to handle, and consistent from piece to piece. Just don’t expect them to perform anywhere close to the stated pull force. Overall, they’re usable for light-duty applications, but the strength claims are so far off that I can only give them three stars.

Essential for van life
The only criticism I have about these is the ring can vibrate itself loose. I highly recommend these for van life and especially if you tear the headliner out like I did. This can be used to hold solar screens or gear.
