Very good workout pants...
I like these pants - they’re lightweight and stretchy and fit perfectly - they keep my legs comfortable on very cold Utah runs. The ankle zippers are very long making it easier to get them on and off, and the waist draw string is very generous, even though I rarely use it because the elastic waist keeps them nice and snug. I’m 6’3” #205 and the L worked fine for me.The only downside is 1) they’re not very good in windy conditions, and 2) the fabric is pretty thin, making the potential for durability a risk, but so far they’re holding up well. I just bought a 2nd pair👍

great quality great fit
I’m 6’ 1” and most of the pants I’ve purchased like these are too short. These are the perfect length and right fit. They are very comfortable when walking or running the trails.

These pants are the perfect fit; not skin tight or baggy
I am 5’ 10” and 180 lbs and the size Medium fits me well. The legs are an inch or two long for my 31” inside leg but I don’t find that a big problem; it allows me to make sure my ankles are covered in the coldest of weather.I live in the South where a man wearing tights for exercising is likely to draw him more attention than he wants. However, I find regular track pants too “baggy” for exercising. These pants are the perfect fit; not skin tight or baggy. They are just a little loose over the buttocks and thighs and the legs taper nicely to the ankles. The hand pockets are a big plus (tights usually have none) and the zippers and grippers at the bottom of the legs are a nice touch. These pants are fairly light weight, so if you exercise in really cold climates they may not work for you. Overall the quality seems very good though I have not had them long enough to confirm how durable they actually are. Value for money seems fair.

Excellent running pants
These are great running and biking pants. I have used them down to around 10 F and found they keep me warm enough. I have also used them down below 0 with a thermal under layer. Quality seems good and they feel pretty light and flexible. My only complaint is they seem to run a little long. I would buy again.

I was so happy with my first pair of these pants that I just ordered four more pair while they are still in stock !!
I have finally found a pair of running pants that are long enough and that are not tights !! I have five pair of Nike $75 running pants in XXL that are two inches too short. I am 6ft 3in and 235 lbs. I need the XXL for the waist size. These are the first pair of running pants that I have found that are not too short. I like the feel of the fabric. I live in central CA and the weight of the fabric is perfect. They have zippers at the legs but no pocket zippers. The lack of pocket zippers is not a deal breaker for me. I was so happy with the first pair of these running pants that I have ordered four more pair while they are still in stock. The ASICS logo looks like an iron on decal, but I could care less. You will like the feel of these pants. I will likely use them for winter season lounging pants. The fabric is so soft and comfy.

Adequate but there are better options out there
Background you can skipI am 5'11", 185lbs and the Medium fits me fine. My suit size is 40R.I was in the market for some cold weather running pants and really didn't want to wear the more common tight fitting tights. I would only wear those under other pants that look better on a 40 something guy and that becomes just too restrictive with all the layers.I did remember from my youth that there were soccer trainers that ran between the loose fitting training pants and the tights. Call them loose tights, Boston track pants or soccer trainers. What I wanted was a pant that would keep me comfortable running between 30-ish and 55F (below that I would not go out, I am not a trooper in the cold) and above that I would be happy just wearing shorts.I also decidedly did not want something that I had to layer, but that I could wear on its own without feeling "exposed". Also note that I really perspire heavily while running and fabric that dries/wicks well and that does not bunch up or rub when wet is very important. So I went into the Amazon and found 3 pairs that made the cut. Since I could not decide on one I decided to buy all 3 since running is relatively affordable compared to other sports and I could spend 125 to 150 bucks in total. The pants I bought were in order of cheapest to most expensive:- these RonHill Classic GT's (around 25 bucks incl. shipping)- Asics Men's Aptitude 2 (around 50, but seen for as low as 35) <--- being reviewed here- Gore Running Wear Men's Essential Loose Tights (around 75 but seen as low as 50)I know you might think that I am overdoing it with 3 pairs but anyone that runs for exercise deserves to spend a little bit on the gear. Running is the cheapest sport out there I think and there is nothing wrong with some great shoes and comfortable gear.I will compare and contrast these pants a little bit with the Ron Hill's and Gore Running pants but in the end each are decent selections on their own. Of the 3 I liked these Asics the least but still rated them an "It's Okay", which is a 3 star rating.Had they been cheaper I would have added a star. The Ronhill's I reviewed elsewhere on Amazon and I gave that pair the highest rating of the 3 pants: 5 stars. After several months of use I gravitated to those the most and I just ordered another pair to stash away in case the current ones ever croak. The 4 star rating I used for the Gore pants which I also reviewed here on Amazon. By far the most expensive but the fabric is superior.About the Asics Aptitude 2How they fit:In case you skipped the background: I'm a 40R suit, 5'11" and 185 lbs. The first 2 things I noticed when putting these on versus the Gore and Ronhill's is that the cut is a bit odd. The waist is higher and there is more room in the crotch area. Frankly, I had to pull them down a bit leaving just a little bit too much fabric bunched up which was not the most comfortable feeling.I also noted that the waistband was not as flattened and unnoticeable as with the Gore and Ronhill's. These you could feel in the waist as having a distinct band (which you can pull tighter with shoestrings). What made me rate them down the most were the hand pockets that they have sewn in: not deep enough to store something like keys in for a run but with enough fabric that when it gets wet from rain or sweat you're dealing with 4 layers (underwear, pocket top, pocket bottom and outer shell of pants) of fabric that stops wicking very fast. Also really not sure what to do with open pockets that can't hold anything on either side for running pants?I came back from a 6 mile run about 2.5 hrs ago and have not changed clothes yet and the pants still feel wet in the waist band and pocket area. The Ronhill's and Gore would have felt dry within the hr.The other thing I noticed about the fit is that they are tighter in the calfs and roomier on the tighs. A little bit too much MC Hammer for my taste. The tighs feel fine but think the calves should have been a little more relaxed. Finally, regarding the ankle zippers: those are quite big and that is convenient when you want to take the pants off and keep your shoes on. The only thing is that I cannot imagine wearing these over regular tights as the lower leg area would become too layered and the waist area with pockets would really have too much going on. So it begs the question: why the zippers if there is no base layer underneath. They do stay in place well and the zippers do not open while running so no issues there. How the fabric feels:The fabric is very soft and stretchy. Its the thinnest of the 3 pants which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The Gore feel the thickest and the Ronhill's are in-between.There is a noticeable seam where the front and rear halves of the pants are stitched together. Perhaps they should have put reflective piping in there or so rather than leave it like this. Or flat stitched seams would have been better as those you cannot feel. It doesn't really hinder while running but I can imagine that over longer distances that 10 miles it could become a rub area. I also think that for pants in this price range they should have been sensitive to detail like that.Wicking is good except for the area's where the fabric is layered like the pocket area's, the waist band and ankle bands. There they soaks and dry slowly compared to my other brands. They are both water repellent, just wicking. How they are designed and built:As I already stated in the fit section, I believe the designers didn't really think through all the detail. Normally I am a big Asics fan and have used them for shoes and tops. The fact that they put no key pocket in there but rather went with two internal flaps for hand pockets without even a zipper on it. The fact that the waistband is not a flat seamed band but something more noticeable. The way the sides are stitched together and the oddly large waist area (high) , loose thighs and much tighter calves give me the impression that these were more generic trainers that got a label as running pants. They frankly remind me the most of my Adidas Condivo trainers when it comes to fit.The pants also have, just a little gripe, the Asics logo as one of those stickers that wear off after a few washes whereas the MUCH cheaper Ronhill's for instance, have a embroidered logo.SummarySo taking everything into consideration I am not unhappy with the pants. But I am also not ready to say I Like them since the much cheaper Ronhill's outperform these when it comes to fit, quality and fabric characteristics and mostly overall design and comfort. Those are just that much better. I am an Asics fan but think that they should rethink the features and / or price point of these. I would not label these as running specific given everything I wrote above.Pros:- Light stretchy wicking fabric that can be used in warmer temps compared to some other brands- Ankle zippers in case you want to take the pants off and the shoes on- You could wear running shorts underneath give that the area between upper thighs and navel is relatively roomy. I.e. if your run started cold and you warmed up you could take these off while keeping your shoes on and continue in shorts. Wouldn't want to hold them in my hands though...Cons:- Pockets are not convenient from my POV- Layered areas where multiple layers of the fabric meet stay wet too long- No key pocket- Waist band is too thick and noticeable- no flat stitchings which could create rub- logo that washes off... I know, its silly but you do pay a bit for a brand name so they should embed that so it lasts and looks nice for the price of these.End verdict: I'd go for the Ronhil''s if on a budget. If not on a budget I'd add a little bit and opt for the Gore loose pants.

Almost perfect track pants
Received this and immediately wore them for a few hours. I got the small and they are a slight bit long for my 5.6 frame but nothing crazy. The have an almost straight leg look rather then super tapered. The most unbelievable thing about these pants is that they have somehow made synthetic fibers feel amazing. These almost feel better then cotton and i just don't know how they have done it with a mix of 87% Polyester and 13% Spandex (I usually hate the feeling of synthetic fibers and time will tell after a few washes). It loses 1 star because of no zippered pockets otherwise this would be a almost perfect product.

They are okay but expensive
You can find similar quality at Costco a few times less expensive - just the ASICS logo does not justify the price.
