good deck for when starting skateboarding
We have been using these decks (in neon orange) for 3 years for our skateboarding school. We teach in a public location and therefor it is nice to be able to visually recognize our skateboards immediately. The color fades to a light yellowy after a while but that is no biggie, would be nice though if they wouldn't. They are mainly used for teaching starters, zo are not heavily used daily for grinds & ollies etc. For this purpose they serve us well. We had non of them break. Only complaint is the orange ones aren't always available in the 8.0".

Good Shapes, Poor Wood
Obviously you know going in to this that you are grabbing some cost effective decks. But I was curious and wanted to give them a shot. The shapes and everything are pretty standard. So no problems there. I have large feet, and got the 8.5" decks. Sizing and everything was just fine.First trip out on one of these decks I was hitting a couple of street spots close by. Pretty quickly this deck had next to no paint left on it. Not a huge deal really, but you can tell the paint was cheap and not sealed with any hardener or anything like that. But the real problem was that the wood is very soft. After grinding a few steps and ledges, the wood was torn up pretty badly. Kind of surprised by that. I ended up breaking the same deck the next day skating the same spot.Since then, I've broken 4 of these. It's been a little less than two weeks that I've had them. So I think they seem to be made with far lesser wood than many other decks i've skated. I will continue to use these up, which will probably happen quickly. But then will move back to purchasing legit decks again. I guess it was worth a shot?
