Does the job.
Good entry level swim wetsuit. I use this on some open water swims in the winter and works great keeping the chill off. I’m borderline xl to xxl at 6’3” 220lbs. I went with xl and it’s a bit tight but the fit works.

Cost effective and great product
Just used this wet suit for a triathlon after doing my first tri without a wet suit, worked awesome and didn't break the bank for a beginner. Fit as described through the legs and torso, however, shoulders/chest could be a little tight depending on build but good thing it was sleeveless. It is tight in the ankles (with no zippers) and thought that might be an issue in transition but it was no issue at all. I am 6' and 190lbs and ordered a large. Having never worn a wet suit I really appreciated the fact that you could take this one for a test swim and still return it, though that won't be necessary...Would definitely recommend.

High Quality Product; Super Customer Service!
I'm training for the St. Mary's International Triathlon in 64 degree water, so I needed to get a wetsuit and fast because I have less than two months until the Tri. Not only does the wetsuit keep my body toasty warm, I was amazed how buoyant I was in the water and how easily I glided through the water. I was also impressed with the craftsmanship and design. High quality through and through! My first swim in open water with the Vortex was my fastest swim to date! I highly recommend the XTERRA Vortex sleeveless if you're a Tri athlete or you just like invigorating cold, open water swimming. The second best part of my experience with XTERRA was their supreme costumer service!!!! I originally ordered the Volt sleeveless, but due to a backorder they had to upgraded my order to the more expensive Vortex sleeveless at NO EXTRA COST. Their customer service representative (Kris) was a pleasure to interact with and she shipped the replacement product to me via FedEX without question. She even offered me a free T-shirt or hat for my troubles. Because of that whole experience, I am a loyal XTERRA fan!

Good value
I don't have much experience with wetsuits and I'm not a very experienced swimmer, so take this for what it's worth. But I cut 20 seconds off of my 100m time with this suit compared to my previous wetsuit with sleeves. My arms and shoulders got tired using the previous wetsuit. I didn't have that problem with this wetsuit. The fit was good and the wetsuit is comfortable. I didn't have any issues with rubbing or chafing. I've read that some people have drag issues with sleeveless wetsuits (especially under the arms). I didn't experience any of that. The wetsuit stayed snug against my body around the arm openings. The water was not cold for this swim (Indiana, mid-September) even though it is starting to cool down from the summer highs. It was still warm enough to go without a wetsuit, but I wanted to test the suit. My body stayed plenty warm for the entire swim though (30+ minutes). I bought the suit for an upcoming IronMan, but didn't want to spend a lot of money (1) because I'm still new to this and (2) because I probably won't do much cool water swimming later. Overall, I feel this wetsuit was well worth the money.

Light and snug, flexable, more second skin.
This is a fun suit. Keeps me warm enough for about 30-45minutes in the San Fran bay during a winter month. Its very easy to take on and off, very limber. The issue is outlayer strength, its softer than a work wet suit, not recommended for long contact. Noticed cuts in groin and side, I had sided over a metal rail. Washes well, fits better with use. Was a bit close for my build on the chest for np show.

Keep your core warm during winter swimming
I've never owned a wet suit before, and getting close to 60, psyching myself up to swim during the winter and not feel too cold has become increasingly painful to do. It really was starting to kill my enthusiasm about lake swimming over the winter. After reading multiple articles in various magazines I decided to purchased the Xterra Volt. Having a quality Tri wet suit allows me to continue distance swimming during the winter months in preparation for the Spring Triathlon season. I followed the manufactures size recommendations...and based on the sizing chart...being 5'10", 191lbs, with a 46" chest and a 34" waist I decided to purchased the Med-Large sleeve-less (more arm mobility while swimming). When it arrived, the fit was just a little snug...but that's great, since I plan on dropping about 10-15 lbs. I've worn it several times now...air temp has been hovering around 55-60 degrees and the water temp around 57-58 degrees. When starting out on a swim, my arms, hands and feet are cold at first, but soon warm up because the suit keeps my core at a perfect temperature. I would recommend this suit for anyone that wants to train over the winter. GOOD LUCK!

First time triathlon, worked fantastic! I didn't know if it was gonna be warm enough but it was, I appreciated being able to move my arms.

Totally happy with my first entry level wetsuit
It’s a good price for what it does. Im a casual triathlete, only do one or two races tops each year. So I didn’t want to spend too much on a really high end wetsuit.I like the way it fits. The size chart is pretty much bang on. The service seems really good, yet I haven’t really used much of it.I highly recommend this wetsuit to any beginners or who doesn’t have the budget for a high end wetsuit. It gets the job done, well!
