The sneaker that hits the target on comfort and style. The Center lace-up is that kind of hard-to-find comfort sneaker that looks great on everyone. The rounded toe shape and sleek fit have a flattering effect, while soft canvas, extra cushioning around the ankle, and memory foam footbeds provide an already-broken-in feel straight out of the box. It’s the kind of shoe that energizes you to get moving and supports you when you decide to go the extra mile. Review: Great basic shoe for swing dancing - I got these for lindy hop/swing dancing and they are very comfortable. I chose these instead of the classic keds since these looked like they have better cushioning and support. They do run a little long and narrow. I usually wear 7-7.5, I went with a 7 based on other reviews and they fit comfortably, but slightly long. (Amateur dancer using these with adhesive suede soles - so far I’ve worn them for 5 or so dance sessions, no complaints. We’ll see how long the soles hold out) Review: I like the sneakers - but they're not suede - First of all, I do like the sneakers. But since they're called "Keds Women's Center 2 Suede Sneaker" I thought they would be suede. They're actually canvas, no suede at all, not even a little bit of suede trim. That's okay, I wanted a sneaker that would be breathable and canvas fits the bill. I normally wear a size 9, and that's what I ordered. They fit perfectly and are comfortable and attractive. I ordered the navy, and it's a very dark navy that will go with just about anything.

A bit narrow
I usually wear a size 8 in sneakers but the sizes and color choices on this keds were limited so the 8.5 seemed the better way to go to avoid them being too narrow or short. I am glad I did. The material and sturdiness is good for a casual wear. I just did not get the color I would have preferred although the grey is neutral.

falling apart
I LOVE Keds, and have been a hardcore fan for over 30 years. They are the only shoe I have found that doesn't hurt my feet in some way, and they are cute. However, this last round I purchased in August of 2023 is falling apart on the side where the sole and the sides meet, as well as in places along the top where the canvas meets the side of the shoe. I have only owned them for 5 months. I wear a different pair every day, and the wear and tear I put on them is regular walking. I never wash them. This is a manufacturing issue, not a wear and tear issue. Sadly, I will have to find a new brand, because usually this means they have switched manufacturers, and the quality has gone down. I have included pics of the model # and issues.

Probably won’t get these again
I want to give these a higher rating. They’re comfortable and cute but after only about 16 days of wearing them the seams are already starting to fray. I’m afraid what they’ll look like a couple months down the road. I’ll probably save up and purchase a better quality shoe next time.
