OOLY, Creatibles DIY Erasers, Set of 12 (161-001)

My kids had a book on making erasers that came with a set (unrelated to this item). We bought this to replace the materials they used up (aka destroyed). This seemed much better in quality and worked fantastically. They actually use the erasers so it was a hit. Worth the money.

This kit was absolutely phenomenal!! The clay was soft, easy to need, high quality and there is a pretty good amount for each color. For 11 bucks this kit really is a steal. It comes with quite a bit of clay and many colors. The kit is so much fun and definitely a great product. I love it! 🥳👍🏼

Really fun and cute idea! We had a “clay-date” with my kids and their friends and made erasers for back to school. Because the amount of each color you get is SO small, I had Them each plan and draw out what they planned to make and we talked about how as an eraser, if there were tiny pieces attached, it would come off. This was truly a learning opportunity while still being super creative and fun! The kids had fun, as did I . The clay is difficult to get to stick together but because myself and one of my daughters do a lot of polymer clay, we were able to help everyone. It could be difficult for beginners though and then their creations just fall into pieces, which would be disappointing. The instructions on conditioning were not complete enough. Because I already Work with clay, this was fantastic but if I had Never worked with clay, as I suspect many who buy this have not, it may prove to be more difficult. It did erase! We tested them and they worked.

Purchased this for a children's summer program craft. The kids loved making their own eraser! I took them all home to bake and they picked them up the next day. A fun and useful craft. The kids got to use their imaginations in what they wanted to make and they were quite creative. A bit difficult to get the clay to warm up at first to mold. Just have them hold it in their hand and begin to roll it and it will warm up.

This is a super cool little set. At first, I thought that there wasn't very much product to work with. But my 10 year old sons and their friend started making these tiny erasers. I guess that's a thing right now. I would have made a giant one and used all of the colors, lol. They made an apple, a pumpkin, a unicorn horn, etc. They were digging it. My other concern was...are they really going to work as an eraser?? So, I baked them and we let them cool and to my surprise, they actually worked really well! Highly satisfied kids (and mom). Would be a great stocking stuffer!

Bought for my daughter since the current rage is eraser putty. She was thrilled, love the color selection. The kit is much smaller than I expected but a little seems to go a long way. My daughter molded and made her erasers and I baked them as the directions stated. BUT, they don't erase!!!! It's basically just modeling clay.. Only bakes up soft like an actual eraser. Would have given more stars had they actually erased.

First of all, I am not very artistically inclined. I have no original ideas and cant make a thing without help. So when my little one wanted to try her hand with modelling clay after coming across a video tutorial on this, I was like all right :-s.... I was initially going to get one of those Klutz art sets since they usually come with some form of instructional help. But then again, I wasn't too keen to fork out too much for something I'm terrible at. Also, I had read reviews that these kits don't always come with enough clay to do anything else which is an issue for a child who abides by no rules. So I took the risk with this one. Phew, there were simple instructions in English and yes, in both imperial and metric systems (plus!). With the help of Google images, I manage to produce a half decent bee to impress my young one. I tried to test it as an eraser, I think it will work but what I made was too small for any practical use. But it was fun. And I have more left to keep going.

So fun, such a great project for my daughter and I. She's eight, and I would say 7 or 8 and up is a good age. My younger daughter had trouble molding the clay because it's so stiff at first. I can't recall if any instructions came with this package, we were using a book that came with a set we got as a gift.

I bought these for my students to make erasers and they worked really well. The container was open for over a year and didnt dry out the clay. They also don’t leave marks on the paper when you erase with them. It does take practice to make them but it was so much fun.

This is a great kit. The colours are vibrant and the erasers work very well. My 7 year old loves it. You do need to knead the clay well so that it's easier to work with.

I was so excited to receive these eraser clay and enjoyed making a number of creations with it! As some others have pointed out, the individual colors chunks are quite small, but it worked well for me for making pencil eraser toppers. Additionally, the clay did take a while to warm up, but if you had any experience with polymer clay or plasticine, it’s really no different from that. Just don’t expect the type of soft texture from play dough or air dry clay. After baking, I tried erasing pencil writings with it and it did work, but I would keep these mostly for display rather than erasing. I also found baking it at a temperature closer to the higher end in the suggested ranged worked better for me (240 degrees). I loved the myriad of colors this kit provides, and blending the colors together was quite easy. I was essentially able to make any color I needed for my projects.
