I found this 20 gauge light gold wire perfect for wire wrapping crystals to be used as pendants. It is thick and sturdy enough to hold it's shape, yet just pliable enough to be easy to manipulate with tools for a tight hold around a crystal. This wire is definitely the best wire I've worked with so far. I can't comment on the durability of the tarnish resistant coating yet, as I only received the wire a couple of days ago. I am hopeful that with proper care, it will retain it's color. The only drawback for me to the light gold color of this wire is the color tone itself. The gold color looks alright when wearing it by itself as a single piece of jewelry. However, when this wire is paired with real gold jewelry, the color tone immediately appears quite copperish. That's just something to keep in mind.

Great item, I've bought more in different gauges already. It is real gold plated, does not tarnish or turn finger green! Everything fake turns my skin green & this does NOT! I made jewelry with it & I've worn the jewelry 24/7 for the past 2 weeks in showers, handwashing, etc; it still looks like new. Definitely recommend!

I need to create a broken link in a gold chain. This worked easily. I think I should have used an 18 ga. which would have been harder to bent the small loop but would also have been harder to reopen from use.
