Wish I'd had this book ages ago.
So glad to have discovered this book! I don't know what took me so long. Thank you from the pointy end of Africa!

Very good read with easy to follow instructions
Very good read with easy to follow instructions. Definitely recommend it to anyone interested in the cyanotype process. There are, however, formatting problems. Often the text explaining the photos are not with the photos. While it is nice the texts for the photos are in a different font, it sometimes appears in midsentence. Also there are a couple of instances where the main sentence drops into the smaller font for a few words. And there are instances where a sentence either ends abruptly or begins in the middle. These are annoying, but you can get the information you need. Hopefully this problem will be addressed. The formatting is what drops this from a solid 4 stars (maybe even 5) to a 3 stars rating.

Expected more...
For the price I expected a more comprehensive book. This is for ground-floor beginnings. Not too deep. Doesn't offer trouble-shooting tips or any advanced formularies. Nice graphics. Just wanted more.

Excellent!
This is an excellent book if you're trying alternative photographic process. It helped me a lot during my experiments with cyanotypes. It tells you all you need and want to know about cyanotypes, and explains clearly all the process.

Transfer to Kindle edition is terrible
The content of this book is good, helpful, and straightforward. However the conversion to a Kindle book is very poor. Capital letters that begin a paragraph are completely separated from the paragraph. Some text is left and right justified in a way that spaces out the words. Photographs spill over onto other pages in disconcerting fashion, or are completely separated from the text and captions. The formatting is completely broken in places. This book is short enough that fixing the formatting shouldn't be a big job. I hope it gets updated.

this book
this book is not bad it is just very simple and does not give a lot of information then what one can find on the internet, I'd like to see more about using and building a light box as well as more in depth information all around. it does cover the basics for basic cyanotype, it's just not worth the price.

First class beginners book
I took a one day workshop on making cyanotypes and wanted to supplement my brief notes. This book was recommended on a couple of alternative photography websites as being a good introductory book. I was not disappointed. The book is well written with clear instructions on how to prepare paper for printing and a step by step guide to the process itself. There are tips on how to tint your prints, creative uses, how to layer/collage using photoshop, trouble shoot, suppliers lists for the U.K. and Europe, as well as the USA, reading lists and internet resources for artists and photographers. Every page has a photograph(s) to accompany the text. The authors are well known photographers and this shows in the clear, crisp layout of the book. It is a joy to own.

A nice book to have.
This book doesn't tell me anything I didn't know about cyanotype, because in fact it's a fairly simple process and there isn't a lot to know. But somehow, the look and feel of the book is quite inspiring and made me want to get back to making new prints. But it does seem expensive[ve

Bit expensive ...
The book was a bit expensive but the content is really good. Clear instructions on making cyanotypes, which was why I ordered it.
