Manufacturing quality is not what it used to be.
I used one of these for years with no issues until it died one day. Bought a replacement which varied from being much less sensitive (not easy to trigger even on the highest sensitivity setting) than the old one, to not working at all. Sent it back for a replacement and the new one activates (in this case, a light) but does not deactivate it. Comparing these units to the one I bought years ago, you can tell that the quality is inferior - particularly the battery contacts. Conclusion: these are now being made cheaply and are unreliable. I won't be ordering again. Time to find an alternative.

Poor substitute of the original. NOT recommended.
Have use HomeEasy products including original PIR's in the past all great. This PIR, arrived with one dead battery, no biggy, battery contacts had to be adjusted to make contact and open, as lens upside down so was monitored ceiling nicely. Now works'ish but intermittently and at a short detection distance. Originals have a wire antenna this does not. Poor substitute of the original. Now suspect 'Byron' and 'Smartware' products to, same same? NOT recommended.
