Advance Agent Planning Guide - The Executive Protection Specialist's Guide for Conducting Advance Operations Paperback – November 21, 2016

The author has an amazing background and a ton of credibility in the field of executive protection. I was really excited to get this book, but quickly learned 85% of the book is comprised of checklists. Some of the checklists are even redundant. While checklists are great and needed for successful operations, the book doesn't go into anymore detail. If you are looking for a comprehensive book on advance work, this is not your book. If you need a book on basic checklists then this is it. In my opinion, this book should realisitcally be priced at $5-7. Great intent, just no substance to make it useful if you are trying to learn more about EP and advanced work.

I recently purchased the "Advance Agent Planning Guide", by Duke Speed.The book is a fast read and very well put together.The author sets the Advance Agents up for success, with a variety of checklists prior to going from point A to B.I came away with a few takeaways, specifically gear that I never thought of needing for my go-bag. Items such as a wide variety of tape, power supply etc. Also, something we as security professionals do not often take in to thought is the cell strength signal at various locations/venues. Will all the members of your team be in the same network or will will you have a few not have cell strength. Your client's rep calls you with a last minute change, but you have no service, now what? Hopefully you'll have apps and be given the Wifi code to utilize that will prevent an incident from occurring by your advance agent. All of these scenarios went through my head while reading.I truly enjoyed the book and the wealth of knowledge I learned.Thank you.

Very good book for those interested in strengthening their Protective Advance Skills. This is the "bread and butter" of EP in my opinion and the checklists that are in this book are pretty good. You can never have enough checklists. Obviously, this book does not replace EP training from a reputable instructor, but every little bit helps. Small enough to fit into a Go bag.

This book is a must have in your EP tool box ladies and gents that are in this business! Whether you are doing advance work or on the detail, the book is very informative and detailed. I don't think any one of us knows it all, but the Advance Agent Planning Guide is as close as you're gonna come and will definitely assist the most seasoned EP Professional. Why? Because it was written by a true Professional in the Executive Protection business. This book will be with me on every Detail assignment, guaranteed!!! Thanks Duke Speed!

A must have for your Executive Protection library. A valuable resource. The information and checklists provided cover all the basis for a solid advance. Whether you are dealing with a high level, low level, gov't official, foreign dignitary or CEO, this book provides a step by step guide to formulating & preparing a complete security plan. I have worked in executive protection for over 30 years in the federal government and this book is right on target. Excellent work Mr. Speed.

I've worked in the field of Executive Protection for 30yrs. I found this to be, a very well presented, easy to follow, and informative guide. If your new to the field or old school. This guide will take you through a step by step process that will help you learn to plan an advance or re-educate you on a process you may have forgotten. Keep a copy in your go bag.

Grat book for the non professional as well. Remember, YOU are your own bodyguard.

Outstanding prework done already for you. As it states in the description this book is for Security Pro's. If you are a veteran in this business looking to simplify your preworkup this is a great tool.

Content is excellent. Quality of the book is inferior. For $30+ better stock should be used. Not durable enough for day to day usage. Was very disappointed.
