smells so fresh
omg I cannot say enough good about this !! we got our dog 10 years ago and him NOT peeing daily on the upstairs carpet was a challeng to say the least .. and was the last bad habit to go. I think it finally stopped a couple years ago. Anyway, obviously I cleaned the stain as soon as it happened, but no matter what I did or used, there would always be a yellow ring that would come back. It got to the point where my brother-in-law rented a “professional” carpet washer and did it twice .. lol he’s a foreman at like sky high construction so we figured he knew what he was doing.🤣 anyway the stains somehow like magic came back seemingly with a vengeance. Very fascinating that that would happen. I suppose certain products were only masking the problem?? That’s the only way they could actually come back like that without being new stains. Clearly, these were really really difficult stains to treat, and, in general terms of stains, I have found myself using shout laundry stain pretreater that I put in a spray bottle for all my stain woes. It’s like $6 for a big refillable bottle possibly 1 or 2 L i’m not sure.. and that gets bedding, clothes, and carpet stains (any fabric tbh) better than anything I have ever used.. put my tide pens to shame, but that’s how I got the idea. Works like a charm.. except of course these quite formidable urine stains. Long story short, it got to the point where I literally gave up for now until the other day when I accidentally spilled a full cup of water on the beige carpet. when the gigantic water spot dried, the carpet was by far the cleanest it’s been since we moved in with two toddlers and 3 pets a decade ago. My thought being all that pre-treat I have sprayed over the years into the carpet for various stains got activated and cleaned the carpet itself just by me adding the water. Which gave me the brilliant idea 🤣 to just quite literally dump water everywhere.. and I had about 20 towels on hand that I would switch between soaking and washing and soaking and washing until the entire upstairs carpet was wet and covered in towels, soaking up water and varying degrees of grossness. It was honestly going great, carpet was turning that eggshell color again before my eyes, but then day 3 when it was mostly dry, it started to smell kind of dank.. and my 15-year-old came home from being gone 2 days (and no longer noseblind) and was like “I think the carpets are getting moldy” ughh she was right.. I feared that even though all fans were on blast and it was 5° colder upstairs. To her credit she is the one that suggested using baking soda or baby powder because of the corn starch. Ofc we only had a half bottle of baby powder and no baking soda, so I decided to get a pet formula powder sent the next day since I was already dealing with these stains and the carpets were already still kinda wet.. so I ordered two bottles of this, baby powder to replace, and a bottle of arm & hammer pet formula. I can’t say which one worked best but everything turned out great. I can say that this smell the best as far as freshness IMO and when everything was said and done the steps still needed a bit more TLC (bc the kids drop food when we walk upstairs) so I used dawn soap on my hands and knees, scrubbed the problem areas, and then sprinkled this over top of them while they were still slightly moist and then I vacuumed it an hour later. Maybe it’s just because I know how bad it was when I started, but I am so impressed. I have not seen the carpets this light in years and I’ll really be able to see the difference when I move some of the furniture that didn’t moved for this. I’m definitely gonna keep this on hand because it even says to use whenever you vacuum. Lol ofc it does. But if you have pets or kids, this is really not a bad idea. I am not 100% sure how a powder formula cleans dry stains on carpet, but whatever. Once you have it clean enough for your liking, using some of this before you vacuum each time or once or twice a week is definitely not a bad idea if you can afford it. I mean, it smells amazing and even the best smelling house can probably use a refresher. We are by no means dirty people, and this carpet I’m talking about would probably be considered fine by other standards, but it bothered me enough to the point where I was constantly trying something new and constantly cleaning it. And when you have a light carpet, it can look dirty just by being in the wrong direction IYKYK.. so sometimes it’s hard to tell if the carpet is dirty or if it’s just going in different directions. For my use, it’s a half a bottle each time I vacuum, so using it 1 or 2x/week should keep the house smelling nice in the carpet looking good.. that was the best part. Everyone commented on the nice smell.

Works great!
Great product!! But I would suggest wearing a mask when sprinkling over your carpet. I didn’t realize how fine the powder was, and I inhaled quite a bit of it. The carpet smells brand new!!

House smells so incredibly fresh!
Now I did not know what to expect when I ordered this but I was very pleased with the results. Per the directions, I shook the product on the carpet and let sit for 3-5 mins. Afterwards I started vacuuming and the burst of freshness that immersed from my floor was incredible. But home smelled amazing all day long and well into the next couple days afterwards. I have a grand dog and he was over for the weekend. After I used this carpet refresher, there was no evidence of any pet odors. By the way, did I mention it’s safe for pets and has natural ingredients? Very, very easy to use and provided a wonderful freshness. I will order this again. The size is worth the price and it has long lasting strength.

Smelly Beast Approved!
Alright so I'm going to be up front with this - my cats stink. They are indoor only, so don't ask me why. But they roll and rub and sprawl all over my rugs. Despite the fact that I clean these beasts (obviously not well enough) and being that I vacuum at LEAST twice a day, the rugs don't smell great. With these facts, I decided to try the Hoover Pet Carpet & Room Deoderizer & can confirm it was a good purchase. While checking out other reviews, I noticed that a common complaint was the amount of powder in the container. It did appear to be 3/4 full, so I weighed it. The scale said 2.2 lbs, and that's exactly what is on the label. The bottle is pretty large, and I felt I got my $9 worth. The scent is really pleasant. It smells strong in the container, but is much more subtle once dispersed on the floor. Its a very clean scent with some notes of floral, and not overwhelming at all. Once I vacuumed it up, I couldn't really smell the scent anymore (kind of a bummer), BUT... I also couldn't detect any scent of my pet's presence either. So I believe its more of a neutralizer than a smell depositing deodorizer (maybe?) A little goes a long way, sprinkle - don't pour. Even just putting on a light dusting, I did have to vacuum very slowly, passing over each spot more than once to ensure it all got sucked back up. Doing a once over left quite a bit of residual powder. I do appreciate the product being pet safe & friendly as well, because the moment I was done vacuuming, my big stinky cat plopped himself right back on the rug again.

If you have pets this is a MUST HAVE!
Smells incredible and very long lasting. So worth it if you have animals. Also don’t irritate my dogs skin like others did.

Not full
It smells good but I am very disappointed at the amount in the container. It was no where near the top of the container when I opened it but I guess that’s a common occurrence according to the reviews.

Unfortunately the fragrance doesn't last, Hoover is usually a good company but..... I'm pretty sure I won't purchase again. I buy carpet fresheners to bring a clean fragrance. I put some in the vacuum bag to bring the scent out..... it laste half of the day.
