This omega product is very good and easy to swallow in gel caps that aren’t too big. It’s good quality product and sustainably produced in the ocean as well.

A vegan equivalent of the better-known fish oil EFA supplements. It seems to work well. Relatively inexpensive. Free of mercury. It doesn't have the ecological impacts of fish or krill oil. Doesn't taste bad (I tend to bite the non-gelatin, cellulose capsules. It arrived quickly.

These are good. They go down quickly and have no strong smell or bad burps. I got a bad bottle that smelled really bad but they were good about sending me a much better replacement.

I like this supplement as an alternative for vegetarians to get Omega’s. There is sometimes a taste to these but overall everything else is good about this supplement and I’m glad I found one that’s good quality and doesn’t have fish in the ingredients.

I eat extremely well and I am in good health. I have been taking the same plant-based Omega-3 for years, but the price got to be ridiculous. I spotted the Freshfield brand and everything about them sounded great, including the environmentally sound packaging. However, they smell awful, like a wet dog that rolled around in a pile of rotting fish. I just held my breath and swallowed them. Well, it's been about a week since I started taking them and while showering this morning I noticed a rash of red blisters across my upper arm. I have no way of knowing that these capsules were the cause of this, but absolutely nothing in my regular food regimen has changed besides taking this supplement, and I've never had anything like this before. After reading the reviews, I did see someone mention breaking out in hives. I am scheduled to see my doctor tomorrow and will update this review if they think it could be related. In addition, if you go to the Freshfield website, the main page features the plant-based Omega-3s, but the capsules they show don't look anything like the ones in the bottle I received. Usually, when a company makes a noticeable change to their product, it will alert the consumer on the label with something to the effect of "new look" or "improved flavor". One more thing, I was previously using Nature's Way plant-based Omega-3 supplements, and due to their high price (upwards of $30 per month supply) there have been times when I could not afford them and went for a period of time without taking them. As soon as I started taking them again, within a couple of doses there was a marked increase in my mental awareness and energy levels. After a week of taking the Freshfield, I feel no difference at all. Note: I noticed the price of the Nature's Way has gone down on Amazon (I'd been buying them through Whole Foods), so I'm going back to them. I go to a naturopathic doctor and the folks at their dispensary told me the Nature's Way brand is a supplement company to be trusted.

Compare the labels and you will see how it's high and all the right stuff.. sometimes I think it's just as good if not better than actual fish oil

I was SO HAPPY to find a vegan option for omega 3 supplements! My parents are aging and so am I so I bought a couple bottles. I noticed a difference in my dad after just 2-3 weeks! He was more talkative, more engaged & could find his words quicker, and thats for me too. At 42 my memory isn't great already but I can feel a change happening. Clearer thinking. I give it to my teenager too who struggles in school a bit and had low mood/energy. He's a teen so i can't be certain BUT he seems more awake to me, definitely. He also told me when I asked that he feels a bit less tired and distracted in class. Thank you Freshfield! I knew my family needed Omega 3's and the price is affordable for us!

Pros: seem to work pretty good! Cons: Stinky, they get stuck in the bottle so I've had to smash it against the counter haha! They taste horrific but I take a chewable vitamin c right after so it's manageable. As long as you're good with that, I recommend them!

I chose this algae-based omega 3 after research and have been taking it since pregnancy. I am breastfeeding and prefer this vegan option because I am sensitive to fish oil. The capsules are easy to swallow and normally have no smell. When stored in a warm and humid environment, a few capsules stuck together and released a fishy smell after breaking. I recommend storing it carefully away from heat and moisture.
