Whitmor Closet Shelves and Drawers - Multipurpose Portable Closet Organization Solution

I was in search of a dresser to fit into my closet to lay down jeans, shorts and other clothes i don't like in hangers, but just about every dresser worth while was above 100$ +. I bought two of these for way under 50$.Pros:1. Build is easy and quick (15 min for both)2. Looks very elegant3. Quality seems to hold up clothes and other items (12 jeans per row)4. Move and pack easily if needed5. Drawers are a decent size to add shorts / Boxers and socks.Cons: Drawers don't have a retractable system like a regular dresser. These are more like small cloth like boxes where you add items, but when you pull them out they tip over after a certain distance if not careful. BUT this is not a deal braker at all just a convenience issue.Neutral: The size might be too small for certain buyers. While it is only 11.8 inches in depth x 31.6 inches in width and 28.7 inches in height. I think it's a perfect fit for closets, underneath your hangers, as it's at the right height to not interfere with the drop length of clothes.I've had these for about two weeks and so far it's holding up. As another reviewer said the instructions don't tell you that the black pieces snap on the vertical bars. They do. Eventually after you push them hard enough. I won't lie, it can hurt your hands pushing that onto the bar if you have little or sore hands but I used a washcloth for some extra cushioning while I pushed them in place. It really is just a matter of standing the bars up and snapping three fabric shelves onto the two vertical bars. Then unfold the two drawers and place the drawer bottoms in. Was very quick set up. My unit wabbled at first very slightly but it was because I didn't have all of the "snap" hooks turned the same amount one was sort of cockeyed upward on the vertical pole. After I fixed that it was fine.I have mine in my utility room to place my purse and bag on when I come in from the garage and use the shelves also as some additional shoe storage. Unfortunately my cat loves this and keeps perching his fat rear on the middle shelf. He's pretty heavy and i'm amazed this thing has held up to his abuse of jumping on and off of it. Got to be careful with it though around kids and pets it isn't meant to hold that type of weight or take rough abuse. It was the perfect size for my space and I will eventually get another one for my closet once I find a place in there for it. :)

Edited to add: 6 years later I am still using this! Definitely got my money's worth!! It has proven to be very versatile!I know it's silly to say that it was "smaller than expected" when the dimensions are listed in the product description and I measured the area I was going to put it in and it fits like I expected it to, it still just feels a little smaller (or maybe that it's flimsier) than I had pictured it in my head. It was VERY EASY to put together (though while I was snapping the pieces together 3 of the 12 spots where you snap it together a little piece of plastic broke off... I don't think it negatively effected the stability of the stand, I'm not even sure why those little extra pieces of plastic were stuck on it but since 9 of the 12 pieces didn't break off it doesn't seem to be that it is supposed to break off... I don't know, very strange). Anyway, the drawers are perfect for pajamas and sheets and things like that but I wouldn't use them if you wanted to store paperwork or anything too heavy - they aren't on tracks so you pretty much have to pull the drawer all the way out and off the shelf and then slide it back in to place when you want to get things out of it. It works okay for what I needed and I'd say it was worth what I paid for it ($22) but if I had paid more than $25 I'd probably give it a lower score. .... oh, also, the shelves are just stretched fabric and if I still had cats I'm pretty sure they'd have been able to scratch it to pieces.

I was concerned that with fabric shelves it wouldn't be very sturdy. I went to Menard's and had them cut me 3 boards to place under the fabric to help give the unit more support. It held up about 2-3 days, then collapsed. Now I have cable ties helping hold it together. It was easy to assemble (both times:) ). For the price, it's ok. I just needed something to store some clothing so my closet isn't jam packed. If you want something durable & sturdy, I'd suggest you look at another product.

first let me say that I have tried everything to make this product work. I purchased this product in January 2018 and it was originally purchased to hold stuffed animals. Within a week the little plastic pieces would filp inward and that would release its hold on the sides causing the shelf to fold in. I thought that maybe THREE STUFFED BEARS were to heavy so I removed them from the top and left it empty. Then the other shelves did the same thing! Even when I removed everything from this unit and zip tied EVERY connection on it to hold it in place, the plastic pieces BROKE into little pieces and fell off. I tried removing the drawers, used super glue, tape, you name it. I DID NOT WANT TO WASTE MY MONEY ON THIS and it was past the point of no return by the time I declared it done, but I really should have known it was going to fall completely apart from the get-go. I am a religious amazon promoter and did not want to give up. sorry, but I was for real let down with this product. Today I finally gave up and threw it away which brought me to finally leave a review. I'm sorry fellow purchasers but I have tried everything to rescue this product but it alas is simply very poor quality. The drawers; however, make cute little storage cubes so not a complete waste of money I guess.

Es mi 2 compro solo que este pedí no me fije y es más chico y tiene soportes con agarre y el 1 pedí hace como 3 meses se arma con tornillos.Leo comentarios que no soporta pesos? Que no es resistente? USEMOS LÓGICA... Estos estantes para recamara o closets es lógicamente para poner zapatos, frazadas, toallas, sweters etc NO es por obviedad y lógica para ponerle una caja de herramientas encima o un garrafon de agua... Este es igual complemento para las cajas de Pounds como la que anexe en mi reseña.....Compren no arrepentirán si lo usan para lo que es y no para caja de herramientas casi casi.Soy top 500 con una posición excelente en comentaristas en Amazon y siempre digo lo que veo y cuando algo es malo simplemente opino lo que es y devuelvo para hacer cambio o den mi dinero.

Lo he comprado para la habitación, antes usaba un par de sillas y ahora uso este mueble.Se monta en 5 min, es muy facil. Ahora tengo la ropa ordenada y los cajones son muy practicos.Si quieres tener un mueble que puedas poner la ropa que te quitas en el dia, tener unos cajones para guardar complementos este es tu mueble.Yo estoy muy contento con la compra.

Easy to put together and take apart. Pretty sturdy and the perfect size. I love it, it really helped organize my close, and the price is very reasonable for the quality.

Esta muy útil y es muy fácil se armar. El único pero que le pongo es que la tela es muy frágil. No puedes ponerle nada pesado porque se rompe muy fácilmente

Love love love!!! It's exactly what I wanted. Perfect size for my closet. I'm 5ft so this is the perfect height for me so that I don't have to bend down to put anything on top shelve. Of course you have to bend for others but that's totally fine. Setup was easy and I honestly find it perfectly sturdy. Even my cats end up climbing onto it (they shouldn't!) and it's fine.
