Works well

Can't find anywhere the length of each spool - weird!I have a lovely collection of beads that are screaming at me to get creative, and a collection of findings, but a lack of string! Now I can get busy. I spent many happy years making jewellery in my 20s, and now I will rekindle my passion for pretty girlie sparkly stuff! This string is cheap, it feels robust, time will tell if it is going to stretch, so I will make up a couple of bracelets and then treat them roughly to see how well it fairs before making gifts, as we've all experienced in the past, buy cheap, pay twice, well I hope that is not the case here. I like the thickest one, best for my heavier crystal beads. Bending into a knot is harder though, so I dab with glue to fix it, easy peasy. Here goes....! Price was £5.49 at time of this review.

For hobbies

I never used to like using this type of string for beading but I am now very fond of it. It’s so versatile and easy to use. It doesn’t have the same life as wire but it’s economical and easy to replace it if in a good number of years it needs replacing. I love that you can use this without tools and just a few knots and you have a bracelet or necklace that was easy to construct. I particularly love that this set comes in three different strengths and you get a few extras like the snips and the beading needles. The price is very reasonable for the quantity and variety.

Like a LOT of people this summer I've got into making jewellery, but also have a little project on the go which means I need a lot of thread for it. Okay, so I was not expecting twelve of them to turn up but at least I'm covered. It also comes with some safety scissors and a wire loop thing which I have no idea about, but I'll take it. The crystal strings come in three different sizes and you get four of each which is good. They're really strong and there's enough to go around too. I'm so chuffed with these, now to finish my project off AND make bracelets... anyone wanna help?

They are easy to use and the ends can be tied when the bracelet is completed. Can be used for necklaces, bracelets, anklets, etc.The pack contains 2 beading needles and a pair of snips. Excellent value at under £6.

Not the elastic type I was hoping for.

I’ve used this elastic before so knew what I was getting but I chose this listing purely because it came with the beading needles. There’s two different sizes of them but one arrived split already….I think value for money is ok, but I would expect it all to be in working order on arrival. The other beading needle is ok, but does start to twist up during us.In hindsight, I would’ve bought a different listing for the elastic and them bought beading needles separately (which I ended up having to do anyway).
