Years ago I read The Millionaire Next Door... in essence, many of their characteristics... How to build wealth. One thing, before a purchase, ask, do I really need this? With respect to replacing the REFURBISHED, ESSENTIALLY NEW Note 9 I purchase here on Amazon while it still works even with an aging, dimming screen, the answer is no. It still works well. I don't need a new screen.However, the outer shell of the very well overall made OtterBox which has kept my phone from breaking all this time, yes, it finally died. I couldn't use the button to turn it on.But, alas, understandably, no more of these OtterBoxes are being made for the Note 9. Whoever got the brilliant idea to make this knock off... and I mean brilliant because I believe there is a market for it. The inner plastic shell has NEVER so much as sustained a tiny crack, so this does the job.I don't know why others have any problems with putting it on or it's fit because for me, putting it on was easy and it fits exactly.Yes, it's a different color, black. Grippy edges are on the side and if the material is different, I really couldn't notice. For the price and what I got for it, one of the best things I have purchased here.Kudos to the person or people that came up with the idea to do this and for selling it here.We will see how long it holds up.Of note, the flaps on the bottom for the port on my original were the first to break but frankly, the phone without a case had no protection there and I actually found it easier to use without them. So, if they break here, I won't remove a star because the most important thing is that the original case saved my phone from falls all these years when people I know were always breaking their phones. The original OtterBox just works well so I am really happy they came up with this replacement. I might get a second one because I don't know how long they will have these.The Note 9 is just too easy to break if you use it intensively often instead of a PC.

Its a decent phone case but the rubber sleeve is a little too tight for the otterbox case and its a very hard plastic. Installation was pretty easy and the appearance looks good.

Fits perfectly on original Otter Box frame but produced from different material which is why I gave it a 4 star rating. If you're use to the otter box feel, this is not it. I will say it is very nice especially for the value but my concern is the buoyancy of the otter box material vs this material. It is a bit harder and maybe slightly more prone to slip. Time will tell if it will save my phone as the original otter box has time and time again. Unfortunately otter box does not carry this model anymore to support the lifetime warranty. Over all, decent product with a very gokd snug fit on the otter box frame for a Galaxy Note 9.

Now I need to find another one for our other Galaxy 9, just soft cover replacement. This was exactly what I was looking for (for Note 9) and was easy to install over my hard case.

This was a perfect fit for my Galaxy Note9. Snapped right on and was snug.. Better texture for carrying than the orginal.. Would highly recommend.

This is an okay replacement considering there's not many options out there but it's a lot harder than the original otter skin and a lot more slippery if I didn't have a popsocket I would not like it at all.

Nice fit for my Samsung note 9. As far as durability seems fine, time will tell. Compatible to my Otter Box which may have been a few mil. thicker. No regrets with this purchase.
