Broken lug nut removal
This tool worked perfectly for a broken lug nut on my GMC 2500 AT4. The company that installed my wheels over torqued the lug nuts. This tool made removal very effortless. The sockets are deep and narrow, which allowed it to be used on my aftermarket wheels.

It Worked
Had a lug nut broken off deep into an aftermarket wheel. First attempt with the 3/4â, the socket broke rather quickly with a very strong impact. With minimal heat, the stripped nut came off rather easily with the 11/16. Save me from buying another $500 wheel. I need a replacement 3/4â to keep my kit complete. Wish I could buy one separately.

Worked like a charm
17 ml lugnut completely stripped. Care been stuck for a couple of days. Bought this and first try it took a bit and bit hard. Was able to move it loose in one go. For this application it worked perfectly

Just don't bother. Two sockets broke on first use. Incredibly soft metal.
I'll preface this by saying that I've had many years of experience working on cars and I've encountered a number of challenging situations, but I have yet to have any tools fail on me. Very surprised and disappointed that two of these sockets would fail on me, in much the same way on the very first use. One just snapped apart and the other began to snap. At first, they felt like they were gripping, and they may have worked had they been made out of some stronger metal. I have never had any impact-grade sockets break apart on me. If you look closely at the picture, the inside of the broken sockets the inside appears to be made of a different metal. Based on how much these physically weigh, I wouldn't be surprised if the inside is an alloy that contains a good amount of lead. Again, I've never broken an impact socket (or any socket for that matter). Even my Harbor Freight ones have held up for many years now. Also, the gripping spirals inside of these sockets seem to start dulling and rounding out fairly quickly. I ended up just going to a tire shop to get the stuck bolt removed and they were able to do it quickly and charged me half of what this set cost. Given that these sockets are designed to work 14 to 27mm bolts/nuts, there is a reasonable expectation that they'd be especially strong since any bolts/nuts of those sizes are going to have a fair amount of torque on them anyway. These may work if you have personally torqued your bolts/nuts to their proper values, but not if an outside shop or person used an impact gun to slam the bolts on (if this is how you tighten bolts, don't do it ever!!) Also, I only had a single bolt that I was attempting to remove with these. Returning them was the only way to go here. Given that two of the sockets snapped, I saw absolutely no point in obtaining a replacement.

Made a big problem, no problem!
I purchased a mustang recently with security lug nuts installed only to find out later there was no key. After spending several hours trying to find a key online and being turned away by a local dealership because they donât have a key that fits and donât want to risk damaging my wheels getting them off, I decided to invest in this set of nut extractors. I cannot believe how easy these made it to remove the security lugs that were torqued down to 150 ft/lbs. Took all of 8 minutes, 4 of which was to find my tools and open the package. I highly recommend these!

Broken lug nut removal.
One of my anti theft lug nuts basically broke in half, so there's nothing left to put a socket on. Was hoping one of these sockets would grab enough to get it off but no such luck. 65 bucks down the toilet.
