Our Item # 770570 Welding Sleeves are Fire/Flame Retardant cotton. There is no distinction that can be drawn between "flame retardant" and "fire retardant," as they are made of cotton, but the cotton is treated to be flame/fire resistant for welding purposes. Do not use these sleeves for purposes other than welding, as the flame retardant treatment could be compromised if not using the sleeves for welding purposes.
