A pleasant taste, different to the meaty norm.
Perhaps a little more chewy than you might expect given that it’s mushroom but that kind of adds to it, after all it is jerky and isn’t that one of the things we like about jerky. A pleasant taste, the spices have a slightly powdery consistency but overall a really nice, satisfying taste and texture. Good size portion and a reasonable price for the size of pack.

Damp stay fresh sachets
Opened 2 of these and the stay fresh sachets inside were damp. Tried one piece and it did not taste how it should, spongy texture. This is a non returnable item, thank fully Amazon are arranging a refund for me, but beware.

Good texture, powdery, mushy seasoning
Nice chewiness like beef jerky. The seasoning was so thick and powdery, it got everywhere and half the contents of the packet was chipotle mush.

Avoid Chipotle/ Mushroom flavour
The mushroom ones taste awful. I love mushrooms and I also love the black bean flavour but the chipotle flavour made with mushrooms is foul. I am not usually fussy about food but these are truly the grossest thing I've ever eaten. Far too pungent flavour and smell of mushrooms. Now stuck with 15 packs as I assumed they would be of the same standard as the black bean flavour. I am now debating whether to donate to the local food bank but it seems more like an act of cruelty rather than an act of kindness. Aggggrrrrggghhh!

Yuck
Frankly these are revolting. Don’t know if I got a dodgy batch or not but they were somehow powdery and soggy at the same time. The flavour is weird and not nice. I love mushrooms so it’s not that. I don’t have the time to go through the process of trying to return them. Definitely wouldn’t recommend or buy again. As others have mentioned the bags are tiny too. Not the size you may be used to seeing in the supermarket. Not good value and not a pleasant snack.
