BT Xenon 1500 DECT Digital Cordless Phone with Digital Answering Machine & Caller Display - Trio

Following a refit of my office, which included swapping to a new telephone and fibre broadband provider, I thought I might as well upgrade my rather old and poorly phone handset. I have always liked the BT branded handsets as they tend to offer good build quality with a bunch of practical features without costing a fortune. That's certainly the case here. All I need in my office is a phone that will survive the rough and tumble of life on my desk, while featuring a decent answerphone and being cordless for good measure. It ticks all the boxes, and then some. The voice quality is good when making, taking and recording calls. It's perfectly loud enough when making a call, unlike some handsets I've had that struggle in that department. The answerphone was a sixty second doddle to set up and equally easy to use thereafter. Very clear view of calls received, volume controls clearly marked, straightforward to turn on and off, skip messages etc.Overall then, a small footprint cordless answerphone-equipped handset that offers great value for money (in my opinion) and delivers the functionality required in the office - or at home, I guess, if anyone still has a landline at home that is...

So I got these for my Grandomother as I thought that these would be easy for her to use. They are, easy to use, loud ringer and also the ear speaker too is great. The addititaol functions of a light the flashes when ringing is good.One snag yet others may like, when I programmed the numbers into the phone book there is no function to copy from handset to handset, meaning you would have to manually put the numbers in to all handsets.

Works fine as a home working phone. Have to be careful placing back on the stand as the handset slides off very easily if the charging prongs don't catch the bottom of the handset, it's ended up on the floor a couple of times, until I realised how carefully you had to replace it.Initial impressions, apart from that design fault, good bit of kit. However disappointed to discover I can't switch it to speaker which I did often with my previous phone thus freeing up my hands to write use the computer etc. Also the dialing buttons need pressed in quite firmly, minor niggles I know but didn't happen with my previous phone.

We were looking for a pair of cordless phones to replace our current ones which have had their day.The BT Xenon phones are a good size to use -some phones are too small, like mobile phones, these aren'tThey have good range and good battery life.The main base station is larger than some -but it does have the handy answer machine controls on it.One negative is that the phone on the main base station lies almost flat -which requires more space than if if were vertical -but it still fits on the hall window cill, so I wouldn't mark it down for that.All in all good value for money.

This is a well made piece of kit which I like a lot. The second handset has a good range, and installed in my shed. There are some handy menu options. The main unit sits on my desk and is neat looking.There are a couple of black areas:1) There is no audible beep on the answering machine, so careful watch of the digits is needed to avoid missing messages.2) Whilst the quick set-up guide is good, the comprehensive instruction manual is only available as a download. This is a real cheapskate trend amongst a growing number of manufacturers. At about 50 pages, not a printing task to undergo. I printed out about 15 useful pages for easy reference, but even then, I did not get a good result. Many of the characters were missing, appearing as infamous ◘ squares. That was disappointing!But overall, a most pleasing purchase.

Super phone, really easy to set up and use. My mother is partially sighted and she has no problems using it - would highly recommend. Arrived very quickly too. Great value for money.

It is terrible the worst phone I ever bought.I chose BT as my last one was BT and I couldn't fault it. The set up instructions were basic I had to look online to find out quite a few of the instructions the loudest setting was not loud enough and when I was left a message it was garbled and I couldn't even recognise who it was never mind understand the message. Because I went on holiday I didn't set it up until I got home and by the time I did and realised all these faults it was too late to return it. I went out and bought a new phone NOT BT may I add I will never buy their phones again

Bought these for my mother who has dementia. A friend who has the same set of handsets told me that they answer as soon as you pick them up. Which when you have dementia and poor eye sight is a bonus.Think that the company need to capitalise on this as when the phone ring all mum has to do it pick it up and say "Hello" No more trying to see a button to answer it. Superb!

I bought this phone on Amazon .es and expected it to work in Spain I plugged it in and it did not recognise the Spanish network. This phone should not be advertised in Spain if it will not work in SpainCompré este teléfono en Amazon .es y esperaba que funcionara en España lo conecté y no reconocía la red española. 10 giorni per riceverlo a casa...passi...e scopri che tutte le spine sono da sostituire perché le basette sono alimentabili solo attraverso spine di tipo anglosassone, inusabili nelle prese delle nostre case......irritazione estrema...ORA:o ti acquisti una serie di 4 adattatori che saranno sempre instabili nella presa, come un castello di carte. ed odiosi da vedere,,,... sempre che li riesca a trovare ad un prezzo decente...PAGATI € 12o ti irriti e ti pieghi a buttare via una mezz'ora per sostituire le 4 spine con il passo italiano ......rabbioso per la fatica e la perdita di tempo...(domandandoti: ma perché non l'hanno detto nelle specifiche?)o li restituisci subito, patendo l'irritazione di avere buttato via 10 giorni per avere atteso inutilmente qualcosa di inusabile!!!!IMPOSSIBILE L'ALLACCIAMENTO ALLA RETE TELEFONICA POICHè IL JACK NON è COMPATIBILE (NON ESISTONO ADATTATORI) E SE SI SOSTITUISCE CON STANDARD ITALIANO IL CORDLESS BASE RIMANE MUTO ED INSIEME A LUI GLI ALTRI ???? PERCHè AMAZON LO VENDE ?????
