I recommend silicone ones, of course not all are the same. These are easy to use in that you pour the water in, but the fill line is way too low and you get barely over half a ball if you use that as a guide. Then when you open it, it can be hard to get the balls out and most break in half. I have to twist but that doesn't work for the hard ones, all I can do is bang it on the counter.

Love the fun round shaped ice balls.

Don't buy this item. The plastic broke on the first use. Don't waste your money
