Spigen Rugged Crystal Designed for Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Case (2018) - Crystal Clear

So I was expecting something similar to what I had originally from 2 1/2 years ago, basicallyit is but this one is so much more sleek & has a little less bulk. Like the air cushion on the corners definently will protect the phone the phone doesn't fully touch the corners & the raised corner edges so if you're blessed like me my phone always falls face down (knock on wood) have had the same phone & original screen whewww. To be honest I only was looking for a new case because after 2 1/2 years of use with a case the silicone separated on one part. But a HUGE positive is I tried it right away taking a photi, the case that ripped when I'd take pictures I'd get this weird fuzziness but much lighter part in every photo I couldnt figure it out at first & realized because my case had a silicone separator between the camera & the flash & although the case was clear like this one it still didnt have 100% clear photos if the flash was used unless I removed the case! This one doesn't have that weird thing in the photo so I'm very happy about that as well! Pretty sure this is my longest review on a phone case lol.

I have no idea how durable it is because I haven't been playful with the concept of dropping my phone, but it feels pretty nice–or it doesn't feel very weak and indurable at least. It's pretty easy to hold, it's not slippery. The four corners on the sides are like psychologically more comforting but I don't know how well they would actually function if I were to drop my phone. It's pretty light, and it's tight but not too tight on my s9+. I can take it off pretty easily but it definitely wouldn't slide off or anything if I were to drop my phone. I'm giving it four stars because it doesn't extend beyond the edge screen so there's a chance my phone screen might get scratched, so that's not something pleasant to think about, but for now nothing's been scratched. Dust collects at the very top and bottom of the phone quite easily because there's a small space in between where the case and my phone come together at the very top and bottom of the case, so that's another thing buyers should be aware of. The phone gets dirty quite easily, especially if you have sweaty hands like me, so you'll have to clean it once in a while.It is a competitive phone case, I do recommend it over whatever other sketchy cases out there.

Disclosure - the first version of this review was with the case in hand, but the phone itself still waiting to ship after preorder. I'll update it once I actually have it on the phone.That said, this case looks pretty cool - very clear, which should help show off the colored back of the phone. The case is softer on the sides and firmer on the back. It's WAY too early to tell how well this handles drops (and hopefully it will be a long time before I can answer that), but we'll see.I went looking for this brand, after it protected my Galaxy S4 back in the day, and the S7 I'm trading in for the S9+. I trust the brand, their cases have served me well.I wish I understood the minor differences between the various Spigen clear cases - I don't see where the carbon fiber is in this case, or how it improves performance, but the shape of the corners make it look likely it will provide decent protection - and when I ordered, at least, this was the least expensive clear case from Spigen.EDIT: A year later, after using a different Spigen case (which I liked), I'm back to this one. It works well and looks awesome. My phone feels smaller and more stylish, and I'm still scratch and crack free after a few tumbles in this case (and many more in the other one).

Easy to hold, durable & not bulky.

Clear case on black Galaxy S9+. Looks good.Makes phone much easier to hold -- the S9+ has a very thin sharp edge and this fixes that.Perfect fit, and goes on & off easily. The front rim is flush with the screen along the sides, but rises a bit above the screen along top/bottom, so you can lay the phone face-down without scratching the screen. The corners are a little thicker for extra protection. The back is about 2mm thick and works with wireless chargers.Add a Phone Loops finger strap to it and it's great! Hold phone with two fingers and no grip fatigue.Recommended.--KV5R

bought this for my galaxy s9 plus. it fit pretty good in the beginning; but then i noticed that the screen wasn't getting any feedback on the top when i pressed the apps. then i noticed that the top of the tempered glass screen protector was lifting up from the new spigen cover. i took off the cover and the screen protecor flatened out like it should. i ended buying the soft plastic screen protectors for this to work.

The case is easily applicable, and it protects my phone. I've dropped my phone often with it without a screen protector and it hasn't failed me yet. I've had it for a few months.

Love this case. It protects the phone so well. I have never had a crack in the last year with this case and it has been dropped.Just replaced it after a year of use just because the original got a little dingy and gross after a year of use. For the price I don't mind replacing it every 6 months now to keep it looking good.Case I just recieved is crystal clear, charges without any issue both wired and wirelessly. Case has a raised edge so your screen won't touch the surface you place it on.I still use a screen protector though to protect from my pocket or purse.Also, popsockets stick to this case incredibly well.

I dropped my Galaxy S9 Plus twice within the first week. I had chosen a completely transparent thin case which showcased my phone colour but was almost as slippy as the phone case itself. I then sent for a Spigen (rugged armour) case which is only slightly bigger than the previous one, but has greater protection on the corners and is non slip. It still lets the phone shine through with only a very small amount of extra corner protection and I am no longer afraid of the phone slipping out of my hands. Excellent design and protection. Delivered by Amazon within 24hrs of ordering. All together an brilliant buy. 5*

I can't fault the Spigen case (Samsung S9+) for its ruggedness and durability but in terms of it remaining crystal clear it has failed miserably.

Extremely pleased with the gel case, fits my samsung s9+ perfectly..only adds a little bit if bulk to the phone ..but I find its actually easier to hold the phone now. . To early to tell it will yellow like some other cases..protects the corners well and the screen as it as a tiny lip..I've got a screen protector onto that cover the edges of the s9+ plus screen and I havent found the case to cause screen protector edges to peel like with some cases.Packaging made it look worth alot more. Quality is good..doesnt look cheap, fits great.overall very happy with the case and service when ordering.overall a good decent

The case itself is fine but you can't fit a screen protector with it on, so for the next two years, my 'phone's screen is going to be vulnerable, which I don't like. However, it's a choice between putting up with that or spending more money on another case, and I've already wasted money on the screen protector that I bought.I wouldn't mind so much but I spent a couple of hours researching cases that were compatible with screen protectors made of glass, thinking I'd established that this one would be, and then finding that not to be the case.

Used as daily cover fof new Samsung S9, its a great cover as with all the Spigens I've had previously. It isn't as light as some others I've had, and it doesn't feel quite as grippy, but I do like being able to see the blue phone I bought instead of covering if straight up. I do also slightly prefer the last spigen cover I had Which felt more like rubber than plastic. This one feels solid and I forever think it will shatter if I drop the phone. Having said that, I HAVE dropped the phone maybe couple of feet about 4 times already (I lose all feeling in my hands), and the cover and phone are fine, though the hardest thing they've hit are a tiled floor. If I worked outdoors I'd drop the vanity and clear case and swap to the black rubber option spigen do that I had previously.
