Iron Tek Essential Glutamine Powder, 1.1-Pound

Great for muscle and the immune system. A lot of people don't realize it, but glutamine is burned up fast when exercising and this can compromise the immune system as it gets first crack at your glutamine. Taking this I didn't get the inevitable cold when I work out hard for a few weeks. This was a cheap source, but definitely high quality. I just add a small scoop to my protein shakes. I would definitely recommend this to any weight lifter. Some people claim high doses increase endurance, but I've never noticed it.

I always add this to my fiber drink, in a 1/2 filled water bottle, right after I get home from the gym everyday for over a year...adds a slightly sweeter/smoother taste to my fiber mix, calms down my muscle stress, and keeps my poor tummy working properly! Just read about it’s ability to help with sickle cell pain & ordering some for a friend with a different type of thalasemia blood disorder to try.

Felt like I have good recovery with this. Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. However, it is most definitely Glutamine powder.

We compared Amazon's price with the price at our local Whole Foods' store. When we looked for it on the shelf, the clerk took us right to it because he used it for his weight training. A Homeopathic doctor recommended it when I and my wife (who has survived two bouts of breast cancer) attended a cancer workshop here in Sacramento. We are almost done with our second jar and Mary Alice's neuropathy (numbness in hands, finger, feet and toes) is much reduced and I have been feeling stronger and "chipper." Glutamine is essential for our bodies and I recommend doing individual research to be convinced of its value. We are both in our late 70s.

I take 5g a day, and this is one of the few supplements that I can tell if I've taken it or not. I am gluten sensitive and if I'm not careful or if I go on a refined sugar bender I can wake up with a very achy body. Glutamine really helps prevent that. I still get sore if I'm working out, but not as bad and recover quicker.This powder dissolves quickly and easily in water or juice if you prefer, and has just a slightly sweet taste. Very easy to add to any drink, soup, pudding, cereal etc.

Recently was told that this was a good recovery item for the "boot camp" I just joined. Not sure if it's a placebo effect, but I suspect this really helped as I have noticed less soreness and I was able to increase my strength. After reading up on it in health books, it makes sense that it's helping me out.As for the sale, nothing could have been better. Description was accurate. The item shipped quickly, with plenty of information on when and where it was being shipped. Packaging was good in a box with cushion to keep it in place.I recommend the product and the seller. Should definitely be 5-stars... but the fact you now want $126 is disgusting.I am just now finishing my 2 bottle of this and gave never paid more than $27-$28!As far as the product goes though, it’s definitely my favorite. Tasteless/odorless and mixes completely into and drink without effort.
