Exactly what I was looking for in getting full benefit without the side effects.

I have been taking this supplement for a month and a half and absolutely love it. I have no flushing I feel great. I’ve have taken both niancinamide and Niacin they make me feel calm and relaxed which is something I need as a medical student. Compared to other supplement companies this is the best bang for your buck. I will be following this company for future products to be released.

This is my second bottle, and I am generally pleased with the product. For 18 years I was on Lipitor but the side effects forced me to discontinue and begin niacin therapy in April 2024. At the time, my pharmacist told me I should go back on statins, but I refused. I just had a blood test, and after more than six months on this product, my cholesterol has indeed come down, but sadly it is still elevated. Right now my pharmacist has recommended that I continue with niacin, and I will, but just know that it might not be as effective as statins. On the plus side, this product has produced absolutely no side effects, unlike Lipitor, so I think it is a good compromise.UPDATE: After discussing it with my pharmacist again, I have increased my daily dose from 500 mg to 1,500 mg, which is the recognized most effective dose for lowering cholesterol, and will update this review later in the year after blood tests.

I saw others mentioning this,yes, there's a temporary "skin tingle" that I feel for about 5 minutes sometimes after I take a tablet. There is no flush and I don't mind it because I feel like when it happens I know that I am absorbing the Niacin. It feels like its a good sign.

I had been taking another brand of niacin and needed to take it 3 times a day as I seem to get tired after a while. It turns out the body gets rid of niacin rather quickly as it is water soluble. With niacinex, I would take it in the morning before going to work and I went from 6AM to 8PM without feeling run down on just one tablet, which by the way is so easy to swallow unlike the horse pill. Will continue to use.

I have read that nicotinic acid is superior to inositol hexaniacinate when it comes to balancing HDL and LDL even though it causes severe flushing. And niacinamide has no effect on cholesterol. I’m pleasantly surprised that this slow release form from this brand doesn’t give me the unpleasant burning red face ! In fact I don’t see any redness at all when I take it, even on an empty stomach. With food I feel a slight tingle under my skin but it’s only for about 5-10 minutes max if I eat a heavy meal. Works well.
