Plastic Bangles

Fun book to peruse and use as a reference. I love it!

Love this beautiful book! Has all of the history on glorious bangles made in Lucite, plastic and more. Terrific pictures. If you love old or new bangles and want to know the background of them, this is a great book to purchase.

I went back and forth on buying this - figured I could return if didn’t like it . I purchased because I won a bunch of plastic bangle bracelets in an auction lot - I was just going to throw them out - but figured I’d do some research and check them out. WOW!!! I’ve only sold 4 so far but made 160$!! Since reading - and studying- I’ve purchased a few others from online and thrift stores that I plan on selling soon. I could NEVER have done this without this great and informative book!!! Paid for itself when I sold first bracelet for 75$. Plus, it really is fascinating !

Plastic Bangles is a must have book for people collecting not only Bakelite, but Lucite and other newer plastics. Great pictures and even though the book is over eight years old, prices listed are at least in the ball park. My only complaint about Plastic Bangles is the difficulty I find when trying to reference a bracelet and cannot easily find specific types. I have collected and sold vintage gold and costume jewelry for many years, but have only recently begun to dabble in plastics. With all the new and repro pieces out there I need all the reference books I can get my hands on.

This book not only provided valuable information, but also saved me from investing in "Fakelite." It's already paid for itself several times over. Love the photos and realistic pricing.

Excellent Info, now I'm really up to speed with my Bakelite hunting and buying savvy. That's ladies for sharing all you immense knowledge.

The book was bigger than I anticipated, with amazing full color photos.

It was very informative and I was surprised that the book was as good as it was. Many other plastic bracelet books were not as organized as this was.
