COUKIU Flexible Baseboard Molding Trim, 4 Inch x 40 Feet Self-Adhesive Vinyl Wall Base Cove Base, Peel and Stick Rubber Wall Base Moulding Trim(S100, Black)

After laying flooring in our airstream tiny house project I noticed several gaps ranging from 1/8th inch to about 3/4 inch. The tricky part is the front where it not only curves quite a bit, but also the wall going up is recessed at an angle. This product is incredible because you can push it into place on the bottom and then press it against the wall and it covers those size gaps perfectly while keeping a great profile. The way it dips in on the top against the wall makes a perfect joint and same with the edge at the bottom dipping out and pressing against the flooring. It wasn’t just perfect as a “flexible baseboard” but has surpassed my expectations on flat walls as it looks perfect and really hides the gaps. I don’t write reviews ever but as I applied this I couldn’t help but be very impressed with the quality, flexibility, stickiness, and ease of application and I can’t help but recommend this after reading some bad reviews and being unsure. I ordered 40’ more to cover every wall in this project and will be using it more in the future on different builds and probably in our house. It’s similar to what I’ve seen in commercial buildings and bathrooms except with the double sided very strong tape instead of having to laminate it to the floor with glue. This product is seriously awesome and I can’t recommend it enough. Some of the bad reviews must be from folks who don’t clean the surface it’s going onto prior to application. It sticks great but if your wall is dirty it’s going to stick to dirt. It cuts easily with a utility knife, lots of control and easily cut the corners as you go. You also don’t have to paint it because it’s already white. It’s literally the best thing I’ve purchased from Amazon. I renovate houses and build tiny homes and restore airstreams and vw busses for a living, just take your time when you apply it and it’ll turn out great. I tore some parts off to re-apply when I placed it too high to cover a few gaps and it came off fine and stuck back fine. The tape/adhesive on it is perfect. I didn’t use the tool but just smoothed over with my hand and it grabbed and has stayed fine. It sure beats the mess of caulk! If they made this look more like a conventional baseboard I’d use it in houses, in the meantime I’ll use it every chance I get on anything else. Good luck with your project!

This trim worked so well, real easy to cut to size, really strong adhesive, I used this in the garage and boiler room. I also bought the preformed corners, both worked perfectly Everything looks professional. Highly recommend!

Installed in my new shop. Walls are painted osb. OSB is not perfectly smooth yet the adhesive sealed and held well. I laid it out flat and put a board on top of it. Came back in an hour and installed it like a pro… which I am no. I ended up with a couple of spots where the lip on the floor is a little higher. User error. To get more lip on the floor, press and stick the top against the wall first with the bottom/lip out from the wall a couple of inches so the adhesive sticks the top first. The when you push the bottom against the wall the lip will sweep out and be visible on the floor. If you press the entire height of the piece on the wall all at once you will have very little to no lip exposed. See pics. Peel backing and work only one to two feet in length at a time. Take your time and it will come out great. I highly recommend.

UPDATE: This company reached out and offered a refund. I truly appreciated that offer. I will order from them again due to good customer service. The actual quality of the black part is great except that the adhesive part is very poor and had bubbling. It’s not very good, but I guess this might be one of those cases where you get what you pay for and something you should not order on Amazon and go to the store because it’s shipped in a role and even though I let it sit out for a couple of days it never quite gained shape.

Darker brown

The glue on this product was a total nightmare to work with. We have completed half of our garage walls and we still have another wall to complete. We are trying to decide if we should purchase another product altogether and hopefully have better luck or stick with this product and purchase glue to add to the missing areas where the glue gets pulled off the baseboard. We tried multiple ways working with this product hoping each way would be better than the last one. When pulling the red adhesive cover off the roll, the glue would pull away from the black baseboard. We tried using a hair dryer, as per the instructions, to heat up the baseboard first, but that method only took more glue off the baseboard and left large areas on the baseboard without glue. We didn’t provide those pictures because we were working fast while down on the ground and didn’t have time to take photos. Most likely the issue is happening because of the creases on the side of the baseboard where the glue is placed. Could it be that we were shipped two boxes of old product from Amazon? Who knows. To finish up the one wall, we eventually placed the baseboard on a work table and ever so carefully pulled the red plastic cover off the baseboard and then placed it back on gently to make it easier to pull it off once it was placed on our garage wall. The rubber baseboard itself looks great but it was so time consuming and frustrating working with the glue matter. I guess I could reach out to the company and see what they suggest but right now we are taking a break from the project. By reading most of the reviews, it sounds like we possibly got a bad batch of product because I just can’t rate this product highly.
