Though I was planning to use this device using mainly an AC adapter with the USB cable provided, I needed to use batteries to keep the programming in its memory in case of power outages (which happen now and then in our area of the country). To my disappointment, my newly purchased Moistenland unit was not detecting batteries and did not function at all when the AC adapter was not connected. That is when I contacted Moistenland customer support. They immediately shipped me a replacement unit that arrived very quickly and did not have any issues at all. I found the product to be simple to setup and to use. Some people find it difficult to connect the lines to the various connectors. I used a heat gun to soften the ends of the lines prior to connecting them and that made the operation very easy. A hair dryer would work as well. The in-line with its filter tends to float, which may lead to pumping air instead of water. I prevented that possibility by attaching a fishing weight to the top of the filter. The in-line now remains consistently at the bottom of the water reservoir. Though I was initially disappointed with the original defective unit, the response that I received from Moistenland's customer support team more than made up for the initial inconvenience. I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a plant saving tool!! Amazing. I broke the rules and used it for my hanging porch plants. I kept it out of the weather and undercover. It worked great!! Gave me the beautiful plants I wanted all summer with none of the stress!! I highly recommend it and will be using it again next year!

It takes a while to plan out what your needs might be in watering plants automatically. I took the device to the basement and set it up with small containers to catch the water that I wanted to deliver to each plant. The plastic tubing was a bit difficult to work with, however, if you use a hair dryer to soften the tubing, it slips on the connectors and the pump without too much trouble. On the first test, I had a few leaks that were easy to correct by heating the connections with the hair dryer and pushing the tubing on as far as it would go. Problem was solved. The next thing that had to be done was to decide how much water I needed each plant to get. I put the pump in manual mode and changed the length of watering time. I started out with 1 minute, and with trial and error, settled on 1 min and 50 seconds. That delivered exactly 4 ounces of water to each plant. One plant was much larger than the others and required more water. To compensate for this, I ran two lines to the larger plant with two soil spikes. The larger plant then received 8 ounces of water, while the others only received 4 ounces. I tested the pump several times, and it was consistent in delivering the exact amount of water each time. I have had the plants hooked up to it about three weeks now and all is fine. You must make sure that your plants are elevated above your water source, otherwise when the pump shuts off, you will get a siphon effect and over-water your plants and probably create a wet mess. One problem that I had was that the intake line with filter, that I wanted submerged in my 5-gallon water container, wanted to float to the top. I had to weight it down to keep it at the bottom of the water storage container. The pump controls are very easy to use and are pretty much intuitive. I'm confident that I can leave for an extended vacation and know that the plants will get the water they need without having to bother the neighbors to water them.

Works great when its setup but have had it now for about 2 months and over that time I have found that the settings have reset to factory about 4 times now causing the automation to overwater. I only noticed this because I saw that the water level in my tank had gone down dramatically. Resetting the time and all the rest of the settings takes a couple of minutes, but it's unfortunate that it seems to be an issue that it's not keeping the settings saved properly. Be warned to check your settings frequently and make sure that you do not have the same problem. And yes, I'm using new batteries and have changed them once already too.

LIked: Easy set up for timing and how much water.Small problems: Once the tubes are connecter to the pump, they cannot be removed unless the tubing is cut. - Update: After tubes are set up for 2-3 months, they become set to the shape of the pump ports. This makes them easier to pull off. But once pulled off, you must cut 1/4" off end of tube to get fresh tube that will seal to pump tubes properly.The batteries fit a little loose. The wrong bump or jostle and they disconnect. But this pump is meant to be placed and not moved around a lot.Update: Use the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable provided. Do not substitute a USB-C to USB-C cable. The pump does not like this cable.Overall, worth the investment, I would recommend buying this item. - Update: I needed a third pump, so I bought same again.

I bought this watering system to water some flowers in outdoor pots that I bring in for the winter. I keep the flowers under grow lights until spring then put them out again. The system comes with everything you need to water on a schedule.I had no problem placing the drippers and programming the waterer is really straightforward. This was my first time using an automatic watering system so it took me some trial-and-error to get the right settings for my plants but I'm very happy with out it works now.There's a knob that lets you choose the setting you want to adjust (e.g., how long the waterer runs) so it's easy to experiment with the settings to get them right. The waterer can run on batteries or wall current through a USB C adapter. I have both so my settings will be preserved if the power fails.I really like this watering system, it does exactly what I need and was easy to set up for a beginner.

The media could not be loaded.  Happy with it. I tested with 6 head piping irrigation (3 plants: 2 headend/plant) and try to reduce (optimize ) long piping. During 3 minutes the pump supply around 1.2 liters (350 ml/minute) not scientific calculation 😝. I put a bucket of 55 liters, so I will have peace of mind while traveling. I recommend it.
