Svbony Barlow Lens 5x, 1.25 inches Aluminum Alloy Barlow Full Multi Coated, Eyepiece Telescope Accessories for Planetary Observation and Astrophotography

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this barlow lens. Obviously, there's the associated issues that creep in a bit, with using such a lens, such as distortion and clarity but when you want some serious power, it does just that.

For the money this is a great barlow lens, especially for a noob like myself when studying the moon through the scope, you really can see craters within craters. However, I find the fixing screw to be very fiddly and it has to come out so far to remove my lens that it easily falls out, another thing is when using this through my camera adaptor, it seems to add a strange light artifact towards the centre of the shot, bearing in mind this only happens through the adaptor so I'm thinking it's more of the setup rather than the barlow lens. Overall this is a fantastic piece of kit for its price and certainly gives you that extra reach for that ultra close viewing, I've only marked this down due to the fixing screw situation.

Son wanted this for his telescope and the zoom for the moon is amazing highly recommend for people wanting to get a closer look at our beautiful moon

Good barlow

The lens appears to be well made, but the top of the lens that the eye piece fitsinto is too small. I had to grind it out to make it larger.

This Barlow works well with my Orion XT8. There is only a slight reduction in sharpness but other than that it's great. I also use it for planetary photography and results are good

It’s good, but don’t buy this with the expectation of seeing the planets close up in detail as your telescope determines everything when it comes to how good the views will be. It’s still worth it for the money and doesn’t affect the image quality through the eyepiece. It works how it should and is worth it.

This is a good quality x5 Barlow Lens that fits into your Telescope to be used with your already owned eyepieces. Or, as I have, attached it to a T-Adaptor on my camera so that I can do Astrophotography. The casing is metal and has a nice black finish to it. It has a retaining screw, that when you put an eyepiece in, it will hold it in place when you tighten the screw. I have attached two photos of a certain area of our Moon - the Plato. Using the Focal Length of my Telescope and the Focal Plane of my camera, using mathematical calculations, I can provide magnifications, which are depicted on my two photos. Thus without a Barlow, I can obtain x30 magnification and with this new x5 Barlow, I can obtain x150 magnification. This is a good quality Barlow and would recommend it.
