My dog was on advocate, his vet swore by it. But my poor little guy got this bad rash on his belly and started scratching really badly.The vet was determined it was nothing to do with advocate. It took 3 weeks for the rash to go. A week later he was due another treatment. The same thing happened again. That was enough for me, the vet argued with me, and had a go at me for wanting to change the treatments.So I switched vets. His new vet explained that although its supposed to be rare some dogs did have this reaction to the advocate. He supported me in my choice to switch treatments and even told me that if I had any concerns at all I was welcome to call the practice and he'd get back to us. He told me of a specific brand to be avoided and mentioned that his dog used Beaphar treatments.I got home and immediately ordered FIRPOtec. When it arrived I applied it. His scratching stopped within a few hours, just the normal itch behind the ear and demanding belly rubs. That was seven months ago, and 25kg ago and I am stll using FIPROtec. No more rashes, no more fur loss, no more constant scratching and he has a gorgeous inky black coat. It worked perfectly for us, and it really does protect for a good while. I've only ever had to reapply it once and that was because he decided to head dive into the family pond. I can't say a bad thing about FIPRotec, it's really worked for my little guy I just wish he didn't have temper tantrums when it came to applications.It's great value for money, and does the job perfectly.

I've been having an ordeal over the last few months with my Lurcher, I have been treating him with Frontline spot on religiously but the fleas just kept on coming, In desperation I thought I'd give this one a go, for the money it was a case of nothing ventured nothing gained right ? For the first couple of days my hopes were dashed but then thing started to happen :) its been a couple of weeks now and I cant find a single flea on the old boy, the only conclusion I can come to is that the Frontline has somehow become inefective, He was fully treated and yet he was covered in fleas, I will keep an eye on him and if anything changes I will update this review but for now I'm a very happy camper !

I was very surprised to find this came in a box with 4 × pippets each one for up to 60kg so for the price of what I pay for 1 flea treatment for my 60kg American bulldog I got 4, great value for money and no problems at all. Would recommend.

Simple to administer and keeps dog free from nasties

I really like this product as it is easy to use and my elderly Rottweiler gets on with it really well. highly recommended.

Have used this product for a couple of years is and have never had any problems with fleas.

Purchased this to get rid of fleas on my Rottweiler. My dog still has fleas after bathing her in flea shampoo, cleaning and spraying every surface in my home and applying this product on my dog.
