Lakeland Antibacterial Fridge & Freezer De-Icer Spray 250ml – Speeds Up Clearing Ice Fragrance-Free

Very handy and easy to use. I found it more effective on the lower shelf of the chest freezers, The heavy frosting on the top was reluctant to shift quickly hence, I used a bowl of boiling water to soften the icing. Once the main ice was shifted, I went back to the spray to ensure a clean start. Remember to cover the food from the freezer with thick blankets to maintain the frozen foods.

This works quite well. You have to use quite a bit but it doesn't use as much on my huge upright freezer as a previous one did and will do for more than 1 more defrost at least. I still used boiling water in bowls as well.

I really wanted this to work.It arrived securely packaged, but the trigger refused to work. It simply wouldn't fit together properly.I ended up decanting it into an empty spray from something else, which worked but was a faff.The actual defrosting worked all right but wasn't anything amazing.It maybe cut a couple of hours from my usual 'turn it off and leave the door open' way, which is good.I'm still struggling to defrost the top freezer drawer, so I'm afraid I can't really recommend this.The search goes on!

This de icer is absolute rubbish. I thought a Lakeland product would be good. I cudnt twist the cap to enable the plunger to work. My hubby had a go and he cudnt twist it either. I needed to take drastic measures as contents of freezer would defrost so I transferred the liquid into an empty spray bottle I use for watering my plants and lost half the contents. I had emptied my freezer ready to use the product otherwise I would have returned it

We tried this product but was disappointed as it didn’t really speed up the defrost process.

This is the first time that I have brought this item via Amazon and not via the Lakeland shop but as we are in Lockdown I thought it was worth a chance. Once I received the item I found that it did not have a nozzle so did not work. Luckily I still had a the old one so can swop over when it is finished so it was not worth sending back (they were out of stock when I looked).Will have to think next time I want it
