Instant Bluetooth for Ubuntu
Worked instantly! I recently installed Ubuntu on my pre-built gaming PC and Bluetooth wasn't compatible with Ubuntu. No software updates or installs helped. This simply plugs into any USB port and the Operating System instantly recognized it.

Excellent adapter, works well with Linux
I began to have issues with my onboard Bluetooth antenna (Intel) on a Linux distro, constant signal drop and overall poor performance, despite all troubleshooting. I bought this as a replacement, the OS immediately picked it up and I had zero compatibility issues. No more signal drops, great long range signal. Zero complaints.Only note is that the contact for the USB-A is slightly longer than standard ports, so I do have some of the contact exposed. It may have been fixed in future models, but it would be better if the dongle sat flush against the IO shield or case.

Does not work with Mac Sonoma or Ventura
Purchased Feb 2024. I had high hopes for this working as an external adapter to improve the Bluetooth range of my Macbook Air M1 running Sonoma. I bought it based on reviews and installation guides, which I followed to the letter. Installation went fine and it appeared as the only Bluetooth Controller in System Report, but I could not get any devices to appear when they were definitely removed from all other adapters and put into pairing mode.

Work with Orange/raspberry Pi
Works natively for raspberry pi and orange pi zero without built-in BT functionality. Really enjoy the seamless integration with less common systems.

Great adapter for my application
I used this as a replacement for my motherboard bluetooth adapter in a mid 2012 edition of Macbook Pro. I have a 2019 Macbook Pro but the old one is still my favorite. It is running with Catalina OS and really can't upgrade the OS. The Catalina upgrade slowed it down a lot. Catalina has a quirk with the internal bluetooth adapter. Keeps disconnecting and no solutions work with the exception of using an external bluetooth. This works well and has greater distance.

Paired Easily with Linux Mint
I'm running Linux Mint on my PC and wanted to use my Bluetooth ear buds instead of external speakers. I plugged this in and my PC immediately found and recognized it. All I had to do was "find Bluetooth devices", click on my ear buds and they paired quickly. I don't usually recommend products, but I have no problem recommending this one.

Works perfectly on my 2011 iMac
I bought this so that I could pair a Logitech bluetooth keyboard with my 2011 iMac, running High Sierra version 10.13.6. Works like a charm.
