I picked up this Anker USB-C hub a couple of days ago for my MacBook. I’ve been using it a lot since my laptop only has a few ports and I needed to connect my monitor, keyboard, and other stuff. It’s been really helpful overall, but there are a few things I wish were better.I like that it has a lot of ports. There’s an HDMI for my monitor, which looks great in 4K. It also has a couple of USB ports for my mouse and external drive, a spot to charge my laptop, and slots for SD cards. I’m a photographer, so the SD card slots are awesome for transferring photos. The hub is small enough to fit in my bag, and it feels sturdy, like it won’t break easily.The downside is that the cable connecting it to my laptop is pretty short. I have to keep it really close to my laptop, which can be annoying on my desk. It also gets a little warm if I’m using a lot of the ports at once, like when I’m charging and watching videos on my monitor. That’s not a huge deal, but I noticed it. Another thing is that it’s not Thunderbolt, so if you have Thunderbolt devices, it might not be as fast.For the price, I think it’s worth it. It does what I need, and I don’t have to carry a bunch of different adapters anymore. I just wish the cable was a bit longer. If you need a hub for your laptop and don’t want to spend a ton, this is a good pick. You might want to grab a USB-C extension cable if you need more room to move it around.

Broke my laptop and HATED working on my phone. I bought this to use with Samsung Dex, and basically turn my phone into a desktop computer.It was able to connect to HDMI, keyboard, mouse, and charge all at the same time. I didn't have any issues while using it on Android, and now I have it in case I'd like extra ports on my new laptop.This is the second thing I've bought from Anker recently and I'm really happy with both products. They've become a part of my everyday life, and I hopefully won't need to update this review in the future. They feel well built, and don't get too hot to concern me. (It heats up, but the expected amount for all of the things im doing at one time)Ideally, the coord could be a bit longer. But it didn't get in the way of anything I needed to do. When it's being used with a laptop it feels like a good length, but with a janky android setup it might feel a little cramped.If you are having issues with the HDMI port, you need to make sure that the USB-C port you have it plugged into supports display output. Otherwise you won't get a display. I've seen a few reviews about that, and wanted to point it out since mine worked just fine.

It works but I had hoped (maybe my fault) that uplinking to a docking station via the power delivery USB-C port would both charge AND allow additional devices such as connected displays, keyboard and mouse, but all I get through that uplink port is power. Since my laptop has just one USB-C port and the docking station at work connects via USB-C, in order to use this at all I must either connect it behind the docking station (not a big deal) or get an adapter to plug this into my laptop's solitary USB-A port.Still, though, it does work and there are two available options for me. Build quality seems good, I like the light blue color and it provides just enough additional ports to be useful in my situation.

Only have had it a week or two but it's working flawlessly so far on an M4 Mac Mini. Using all the ports except for the usb type C, plugged into one of the thunderbolt ports on the Mac. I'd expect and hope that the cable was thick and stiff for all the data and power it's supposed to be capable of, not sure why that would be a bad thing. It is very light though so I did use some velcro to attach it to the Mac as well.

I bought this in October of 2024. It is now April of 2025 and it has failed. It appears to be in the wire connecting to the input plug. I have used Anker products in the past which have worked well. This doesn't appear to be one of them.UPDATE:I guess Anker monitors reviews because I was contacted by them shortly after this posted offering me a refund or replacement. I chose the replacement and it arrived in a couple days. They did let me know that the USB port is data only and not intended for charging, so I've revised that in the initial review. I've changed my rating because I feel that they've stood by their product and made good on the defective one.

I purchased this to use my audio interface on my iPad to use my guitar and mic in garageband. It worked perfectly, I could charge my iPad while connecting my interface and record some guitar and vocals.I would recommend this to someone try to do the same thing. Although there are many more uses for it I have not tried any of the. But with the quality of the product I am sure it would work properly.

From the picture of the item, it seemed as though it was a high quality plastic or possibly even a brushed metal. However the plastic seems very cheap as the item is very light. However it seems to work well so far. The length of the cord is 6 to 7 inches so it's not super long but it works for me. I have yet to test it with multiple ports in use.
