Have only been wearing this a couple of days, but so far seems to work well. Still being careful though.

I liked the comfort, but I disliked the elastic content, and over time it would stretch.

Very pleased with this item. So easy to use. The two straps that are attached by loops to the rear of the belt are the key. They pass down, between the legs and up to fasten to the front of the belt. These straps provide a second dimension of support in addition to the main belt. Secondary tightening on the straps is available by positioning the end of the loops to the bottom of the belt at the back, effectively reducing the length. A further adjustment can be obtained by moving the loops towards the sides. I'd recommend this anyway as it provides another and very useful benefit because the straps then adhere to the inside of the thighs, instead of rucking up through the groin, thereby optimising comfort.Don't make the mistake of wearing the belt over underwear. It must go underneath, like all such devices I should imagine. That way it won't slip. It also facilitates toilet use without being disturbed. I put mine on when I get up and take it off when I go to bed. I do that just by unfastening the straps. I never touch the main belt fastenings. It passes the acid test in that I completely forget it's there. It's that comfortable.The only minor issue could be getting the right size. I chose medium and I am 34 inch waist. All my measurements would be medium. The belt has optimum tightness with the side velcro pads on the loosest position. This suggests that anyone slightly bigger than me would need the larger size. Against that I have used all the adjustments mentioned above to tighten the straps to optimum setting.I have had it for several weeks now and will be ordering more. Congratulations on an excellent product.

I bought this, as I have just been diagnosed with a hernia, + can't see the consultant until December. I've waited for a week before writing this review so I could see how I got on with wearing it. Being a woman I found the straps were not comfortable 'underneath', so removed them which was easy to do. The belt was straightforward to wear, but I found the top edge dug into the top of my btm cheeks. I wear it with just the pad and wear my regular pants over the top. I tuck a t-shirt down the top to stop it biting into my skin. This holds my hernia in place. Glad I bought it as it's given me relief from the gnawing dull ache.

Overall I am impressed with this item. You are aware you are wearing it but it is not uncomfortable, whereas without it I am aware of my inguinal hernia which is painful when active so this is a plus point. Also helps alleviate any worries about coughing or sneezing! It does tend to ride up a bit out of position irrespective of how it is adjusted and the elasticated waist band gets a bit rucked up at times. However it represents good value for money and allows me to remain far more active than I otherwise would. Whether there are better ones on the market I cannot say but I suspect this is one of the best.Edit: not changed original comments or rating but I decided to buy another hernia support so I could rotate then keeping one clean and in reserve. Also used it as an opportunity to look at other options given the slightly negative comment I made about this one, the elasticated belt is rather uncomfortable at times. Second one is an OPPO SDA which I would rate 5* simply because the waste belt sits much more comfortably. Both do the job just less aware with the OPPO version which possibly supports those inguinal hernias that are not just at the front but drop down between the leg a tad better?

Before I bought this truss my hernia was often excruciatingly painful especially when I coughed or sneezed.Since I started using the truss I have had no pain or, even, discomfort; it's excellent. Unlike another top reviewer I wear mine outside my underpants and it's fine. I never undo any of the Velcro attachments I just put them on and take them off like a pair of pants.The only problem I had was the size. I found that the boxes that you have to click to select the size which you want to buy are not accurate.I measured my waist and it came out to be 46" so I selected XXL (44"-48"). I found this to be way, way too large. I managed to make it fit by using the under strap Velcro patches for the elastic which goes round your back and then I tucked the under straps over the top of the truss to attach to the inside Velcro which is intended for the pads; not ideal but it worked. I later bought a second truss so I could wash the first and I got XL (40"-43") and it was OK but I needed to adjust it to the tightest Velcro position.

I cannot have an operation for my hernia due to being on oxygen so I wear 24/7 and I find they very supportive and comfortable.

Badly let down by AMAZON.Comfort -NO; Value for money- IT IS NOT; Easy to use - NO. NOT IF YOU REQUIRE IT TO HELP YOU.The device is POORLY SIZED. The spread of sizes for ‘M’ (from 31-35 inches) in the advert is not reflected in the design of the product. The Velcro adhesion pads on both front and rear fitting parts of the device are too small and poorly spaced on the front. Drawing the rear portion round to the front on each side results in only a small portion of the Velcro being used to fix both parts together. Adhesion is therefore inefficient and body support is radically reduced.Additionally, the under-passing elastic straps are too long to fit efficiently onto the Velcro at the front This means the crucial pressure on the two demountable pads is insufficient to apply any noticeable level of therapy.Don’t buy if you are small waist!I consider that AMAZON has badly let me down since there is NO RETURN.
