firstly-- this is a hobby wood lathe, and my second week of use.. I very much like the machine it is solid its not a light machine .. so it needs a permanent spot not something to carry back and forth to work on...it is heavy enough and stays put on my bench.. I did wonder if it would need bolting / fixing down, but no it stays still.. All the controls are easy.. ( you have to connect the control box to the machine.. the only item that is separate upon delivery ).... If i have one small gripe it is that the tool rest is a bit short...in it is around 150MM ( 6 inches ) long... so for anything longer.. you have to keep moving it along the bed....As the machine can easily accommodate items 300mm long.. you really need an alternative tool rest my only criticism.... have not had need to change belt speed on pulleys.. but looks an easy enougth affair...The instructions on use are '' satisfactory '' not perfect but understandable and give some practical advise of safety and use..As you can see on my attached photos.. it does a fine job.....

A little small but great product once it finally arrives

Arrived safely and the recipient was very pleased. They had spent time researching the right one, as many came without the Chuck, which is included with this. Easy to set up and they are currently now in the process of making a bowl. They have many other projects lined up, which this will enable them to do. In the current climate, this has brought a smile to their face and brought out their creative side too. Excellent Customer Service from the seller, providing dispatch and delivery details.

Movable stock end keeps coming loose

The chisel rest components did not fit together , but luckily my husband was able to file one part until it did fit. More attention in quality control required. Apart from the he is delighted with it.

The item overall is good . My only disappointment is that two short toolrests were in the package instead of one short and one long as advertised by Amazon. I've contacted the supplier several weeks ago requesting the issue to be resolved but to date I'm still waiting for the missing toolrest. As a long standing customer I expect a swifter service than I'm getting.

The lathe won't hold and cut a 10" log and defo won't hold a 12" blank as advertised, since I already own a lathe and wanted one that would let me turn 12" bowls and 10" varses, but I couldn't do anything on the new lathe better than the one I already owned, so it wasn't fit for its use, I started a return and the seller kept sending me messages saying me to keep the lathe and he would give me a 12% discount this went on till a whopping 55%discount was offered I did explain it wasn't any use to me but the seller wanted me to keep the lathe and then sell it on and then get my money back. I said no and a return was accepted by the seller and under amazon terms the courier costs a whopping £53 would be refunded which hasn't been refunded and I've been told they can't do it and they offered me a discount on something in there shop con on amazon get rid of these bogus sellers I buy from amazon not a third party I pay for prime and expext amazon to handle these returns otherwise I might as well buy via the Internet and forget prime membership and amazon's prices

Lo fácil que se monta,pero , lo veo con poca fuerza ,pensé en su momento si lo devolvía ,no se si venia defectuoso,lo he utilizado para hacer pequeñas cosas mias de jovi.

No compréis este artículo. Tarda casi dos meses en llegar y es de mala calidad.
