These are great garden shutoff valves. Some may complain that the shutoff levers are too short. But this is a minor issue, considering the great price. I've got them spread all over my 3 acre area of our property and love using them. My suggestion has to do with you hose hookups at the main spigot, and at any connections. First, if you have a lot of hoses that you are constantly unscrewing and transferring to other locations, I would purchase quick disconnects to for ANY screw-in connections to make your life easier. Also, purchase some Permatex 80078 Anti-Seize Lubricant with Brush Top Bottle, 8 oz. This is because after a few months at least where we live) the screw-in connections will "glue" themselves together, making it impossible to unscrew without a big pipe wrench. I think that this is due to galvanization of the pieces at the connection point threads, and it is almost akin to rusting. I had a heck of a time prior to doing this as there are times when I change how I want to position hoses and connectors. Anyway, the anti-sieze will prevent the "glueing" effect, and allow you to easily and safely unscrew your connector threads many months later.

I recently purchased the Heavy Duty Brass Shut Off Valve and I must say that I am extremely impressed with its performance. Nice quality, works well. Just a couple issues: 1. The opening for water to go through is pretty small compared to the inside of a hose. Maybe only 1/4". So may cause some flow restriction. 2. The valve is too close to the male threaded end, so screwing on my particular hose nozzle would stop before fully sealing because the nozzle contacted the valve.

I have one of these on the end of every hose I own. Being able to change nozzles without having to turn the water to the hose off is fantastic. These are all metal and should last for a very long time. I previously had some with plastic levers and those would sometimes break so I appreciate the lack of plastic.

Great product! Sturdy well made. And is so handy to be able to turn off the water at hose end. Also works well to be able turn on/off water with a quick turn of the valve I especially like these because the on/off knob is brass (not plastic as most others!!) the plastic knobs brake and then the valve is useless. One important reminder. If you use these valves at the end of a hose be sure to TURN OFF WATER SUPPLY when you are finished! If your hose developes a leak with water still on you could end up with a monster water bill ☹️

I purchased these valves hoping for a reliable way to control water flow between hose attachments, and while they do mostly get the job done, there are a few issues that hold them back from being great. On the plus side, the brass construction feels solid and durable, and the valves do a decent job of stopping water flow when turned off. The extra pressure washers were a nice bonus, and I appreciated that the connectors fit snugly onto standard hoses without leaks most of the time. However, the valve handles are quite stiff and hard to turn, especially when water is running through at higher pressure. Over time, this gets annoying — especially if you're switching attachments frequently. I was also expecting a bit more quality control between the two pieces, as one worked better than the other out of the box. Overall, they’re functional and far better than cheap plastic alternatives, but for something marketed as “heavy-duty,” I was hoping for smoother operation and more consistency. A solid middle-of-the-road product — not bad, but not perfect either.

I use these as hose ends then screw on the the sprayer. Keeps you from returning to the main faucet to change sprayers.

Appear to be a quality item. Arrived ahead of schedule. Cant wait to install them.

Working as expected, no leaks

Very well made product. Be advised that the inside diameter is much smaller than the ID of a 5/8" garden hose. So if you have spent the money on a 5/8" hose, these shut off valves will restrict the flow to ~1/2"

Works great. Very sturdy. The valve works very smoothly. No complaints.

Used these for a summer and so far working very well. Have to be careful if throwing hose around as on off handle is made out of plastic. I broke one and had to fabricate another. They also work well as a spray nozzle. No complaints and will purchase more when required.
