Sunday in the Park with George (Applause Libretto Library)

This libretto is needed to replace something that was lost. This libretto and purchase fit the bill perfectly to assist future students in their learning these classic pieces of music.

I needed this musical for my acting class. I'm a huge fan of Sondheim, but I didn't need anything new. I waited and waited for probably a week and a half for this to arrive, but when it did, I was over-the-moon thrilled to find that I had received a first edition hardcover copy of one of the most legendary musicals! It was so cheap and that's the only reason I bought it. I'm going to treasure this one of a kind book forever, but if I were to ever sell it, I could get three times what I bought it for- at least!

This book is exactly what fans or performers of the show would want. It's the full script, including lyrics, and additional lyrics that were cut from the show. There are interesting notes from the founder of the theater at which the show first premiered, as well as photographs from the famous taped version and the casts of popular runs of the show. Great and enjoyable to read--especially when read along with the DVD.

It's a hard read but it flows. It easier to see the play first theme as it, but it's a good play nonetheless. Very timeless.

Love this musical and the libretto (book) does not disappoint.

I love Sondheim and being able to read the lines and lyrics really bring more to the show for me. I am able to see things differently than I had. This is now one of my all time favorite musicals because of the message it shares.

This is one of my favorite Sondheim musicals. Lapine also hits the book out of the park. Although a bit hard to digest when only reading the script (the first time), when paired with a taped production this is wonderful.
