Amazing piece of kit
Sounds amazing. Loads of different harmonies to go with any song. Also would like to add that I have this working perfectly fine inline with the TC Helicon Mic Mechanic. I’ve seen some reviews saying that you can’t use both at the same time. You just need to use two lines. One for your mic and one for your guitar. I also have my guitar going through an acoustic EQ pedal before the two vocal pedals with no noticeable delay.

Does a great job
Does a great job but, of course, you have to be careful how you use it. I play guitar and add some backing vox in a pub band so, the fact that this gets the key from what the guitar is playing is perfect for me. I also love that it has reverb on it which I find preferable to relying on the sound engineer when there is one (although they probably think differently). I also love that it can add a little compression, de-essing, noise gate & EQ to your voice even when the harmonies are off. I'll take all the help I can get. The harmonies can sound great or terrible. You have to know what works with your song and then set it manually for each song. I was considering the Boss VE-500 before buying this simply because that one can be MIDI controlled but it is physically bigger and a lot more money. I'm very happy with this pedal. I think it makes me sound better (placebo? maybe) I love that it gets the key from the guitar and remembering to adjust the harmony knob before a song is not the end of the world.

Brilliant kit but went wrong trouble returning it
Brilliant kit but would help to have instructions in box or a website to visit for same, and for nearly £200 I would have thought the power lead would have been included so not useable straight away, UPDATE after 6 months, used it 3 times on gigs and it now has stopped working so now trying to contact seller to return,,trouble is no contact details Another update.... just got an e mail saying out or returns period but they would contact the manufacturer OR I COULD DO IT MYSELF,no help with tel number or e mail just a fob off and £200 out of pocket afterv6 months, stay well clear of this supplier , product is good when it worked Another up date..... now asked to return it after last comment, so I have sent first class post and tracked, now after 2 weeks no e mail saying it’s recieved,or what’s happening i.e. They are fixing it,replacing it,or sending it back, looks like I have now even lost the broken kit. Not a happy customer

Fiendishly Clever! Sonically Effective!
Really pleased with this pedal. Its really well made and sturdy, plus ridiculously easy to setup and use. Also there is the convenient option of battery power (4 x AA, not currently included, but there is an empty, perfectly sized compartment within the packaging box that looks suspiciously as though this was either once the case or simply intended to be so). The resulting vocal harmonies are stunning in their audible authenticity. Also there's a bonus because, somewhat unexpectedly, it functions as a volume booster (not a feature I've seen in any of the specifications) effectively taking my powered PA speaker's maximum to "eleven". Perhaps all vocal enhancement pedals have this effect, but this is my first such piece of kit. A foot click of the pedal oscillates between harmony effects on and off, but leaves any reverb settings "permanently" active, while a more prolonged press and release deactivates all vocal effects so as to facilitate speaking clarity. The physical instrument throughput further enhances the harmony effect by encouraging chord/note compliance (moreso chords). Fiendishly clever and sonically effective. This pedal used to retail at around £200, so the current £125 makes it a relative bargain.

Very poor build quality.
I've owned several TC Helicon vocal effects units/pedals over the past 10-12 years or more. I bought the "Harmony Singer 2" as a replacement for my original Harmony Singer that had developed a fault in the foot switch. Straight out of the box the latest "upgraded" version of this pedal feels cheap and light weight. In comparison to the build quality of the previous version this one is very poor. As a gigging musician I know, for a fact, this pedal will not stand up to the rigours of regular gigs and touring. TC Helicon have also decided in their "profit based wisdom" to exclude a power supply unit. Instead you get a battery compartment! I don't know of any singer/muso (unless you're busking) who would risk using this on stage powered by.............. 4 AA batteries. The white knobs at the top of the pedal (controlling Harmony type/level/reverbs) have no traction whatsoever. In other words they move/spin very easily. This is a problem because each time you press down on the pedal you risk moving the knob's parameters and sounding like a robot locked in an echo chamber. However the biggest flaw on this latest version is the omission of a input level control. Now this is just ridiculous. You can't control the gain level of your input!! The claim is that the level is "auto-controlled". In truth (and in use) that's rubbish. I've struggled to get this pedal to work satisfactorily during several live gigs. Adjusting the mixer's input gain and adjusting volumes helps but it does not compensate for a dedicated manual gain level on the unit. Compared to the older, original unit this "upgrade" is very, very poor. It's build quality is flimsy and will not survive in a regular working environment. I'm so disappointed in TC Helicon for what is clearly a cost cutting, profit boosting exercise. Their original Harmony pedal was built like a tank, withstood years and years of use and sounded wonderful! The latest version is cheap and nasty. They've called it the "Harmony Singer 2". As an experienced, long time user of their previous excellent products I can only conclude that the "2" refers to "2nd rate". I'm returning this unit for a refund and will look online for a second hand/used Harmony Singer original pedal.

A great bit of kit, it really smooths out my voice on just the Tone control, then the addition of the harmonies just takes my singing to another level and the reverb control makes an excellent addition to my setup, I would definitely recommend

I am an acoustic guitar player in my 60's. After jamming with a friend who is a real pro performer, last year, I decided (after he stuck a mic in my face) to buy a microphone and give singing a try, after a lifetime of telling myself that it wouldn't be possible. I bought a Boss VE-2 vocal pedal. I achieved enough progress that family and friends thought that I was on to something, and should keep going. The pedal was fine. Lots of features. Maybe too adjustable. But the only pedal I knew. I recently bought the Harmony Singer 2 just to try. I received it yesterday. I played around with it for a couple of hours. It is by far the better choice for me. More straight forward. The harmonies sound more natural. The vocals in general have a little more power and are much clearer than the Boss pedal. Less feedback issues. This is a great value. Takes less space on my pedalboard. Buy it! I now believe that any musician should at least give singing a real shot. Go onto your favorite guitar chord web site. Transpose the song closer to your vocal key. Don't be afraid to use a capo when needed. Give yourself at least several months to see if there is a spark there. This pedal with a quality XLR mic and an acoustic guitar might take you farther than you imagined. It's not auto tune. This is really fun and I'm excited to play more now, than ever. Singing has made me a better player. IMO a vocal pedal is a must to get you started.

Annoying humming sound, pitch issues, volume cutting out and flimsy knobs. Tried upgrading firmware as suggested. Software does not work. Scoured the internet and all I could find was complaints of a lack of solution or reliable support for the product. Clearly something has gone wrong with this company. Never buying this brand again.
